This is my second purchase of this item. The first time it failed within two months. by the time I decided to do something about it the one year warranty had expired. I unfortunately decided to purchase another. It also failed within the first few months of ownership. This time I decided to take advantage of the one year warranty. Absolutely no one will honor the warranty. The manufacturer, International Development Corporation; the company who sold it thru Amazon.com, Rocket Auctions,Ins; or Amazon.com itself. Totally dissatisfied with the quality of the product and the warranty which apparently means nothing!

When I first received the item, it didn't work at all. I didn't know whether it was a defective light or control or both. Amazon was kind enough to send me another unit which worked fine.

Now, it's stopped working again. I believe it's the remote control device, but I can't be sure. I checked the batteries and they are good, but the remote doesn't light up when pressed. I live in Arizona, so it can't be for lack of sunlight

I don't ask for much just that a product should work as sold. I would not recommend this product.

Simple setup, just put up the panel and plug it into the light. Light comes with it's own internal rechargable battery. I might be neat if this used rechargable AA's, then it could double as a charger.

I have owned this light for a couple of months now and it works great every time I have tried it. The remote is a brilliant feature and easily works over the distances claimed by the manufacturer.

I bought 2 of these from here and installed one in my shed, the other in my fathers. His shed is 16' x 20' and mine is a 8' x 12' and realistically in the dead of night gives more light than I will ever need. Handy remote but do not leave outside, corrosion will destroy the remote and then the whole unit is useless. If you have never used a solar light before you need to CHARGE the battery before use, flip the switch to OFF position for roughly 24-48 hours then turn to on position after. Like I said 2 years and both are still going very very bright and strong.

I have purchased six of these lights and two of them are just no good. Only one of them is really bright. This is the only lite with a remote control I have been able to find. When I find another brand with a remote, I will certainly try it.
