{Almost gave this 5 stars} as other reviewers have said, this light is not very bright. However, it is very attractive, with a nice quality glass 'shade'. The unit is not overly heavy despite the glass (wondered about this, since it hangs on the wall). The unit works fine; the amber light color is very nice looks 'classy' and much nicer than the overly-cool glow LED lights often have, and the lavender color looks subtle enough and is extremely pretty. The remote works well, even from across the room.

I bought this because I live in an old house without outlets or a light switch near the front door. I wanted something I could click on with the remote to light up the front of the room a little when I walked in, and something that would look nice on the wall. It works great for these purposes, with the exception that it is a little dim, even for this limited use.

It definitely provides a nice effect as a decorative light.

I don't remember the description mentioning this but it is also possible to change the brightness level of the light with the remote.

This is exactly what I needed in the hallway where the light switch is across the stairs from the bedroom doorway. It was easy to put up, and I like the different colors. The only problem is that it doesn't put out much more light than a night-light.

I wanted a wall sconce that I didn't have to wire through the walls (I rent an apartment) and this was the nicest-looking one I could find. This one is a nice thick frosted white glass and doesn't look tacky on my living room wall. I didn't buy it for the fact that it can change 6 different colors, in fact, I bought it in spite of that. I think all the colors are ugly, they look primary, like crayons, except the "natural", which glows a light blue/purple. It does have a nice feature of adjustable brightness, which is nice; however, even at it's brightest, this does not illuminate a room. Think of this as a night-light, with a tiny glow that allows you to make out the shapes of your furniture. This being said, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because it depletes batteries ridiculously quickly. When I first used it, I would have this on for a max of 5 hours a night, and within 5 days the natural light just stopped working so I had to choose from one of the other colors. Within 3 more days of use, the light just stopped working altogether. I thought maybe it was just the batteries the light came with, but I replaced the batteries with my own twice more and both times I got the exact same results, with first the natural light dying out, then the whole thing was dead in under ten days. I have no desire to keep up with buying batteries and replacing them so frequently. Now the light is just sitting unused on my wall, but I will be getting rid of it, once I find something to hang in it's place.

I would give them a better rating if the white light was brighter. it barely brightens the room enough to find my shoes. Otherwise it's a great idea because all the other sconces are expensive and wired. No one has the time and in most cases the expertise to run wire. Cosmetically, it's very nice and it perfect for romancing a chic but to see or read it's useless. Buy it for its appearance not its functionality.

I only like a few of the colors and frankly hate that BRIGHT white that is very industrial looking. While the white is bright it fails to cast much light. A very odd situation indeed!

I bought it for use in a very dark bed room corner that has no plugs for a lamp and where the sun never reaches. It is good as a light to light your way for a short while late at night but not for daily use.

It is too modern for a traditional look and too traditional for a ultra modern look. I guess you can say it is sort of deco but not even quite that.

When I sell my condo it stay behind for the new owner`s "enjoyment".

O` and by the way....to comment on one buyers review......who would use this as a party light? I would never want to have friends think I had such bad taste as to have hot pink or red lights in my home!
