They are what I would have expected for the price. They work well, but need to be clearer that they are not universal. They fit over my porcelain light fixture with a narrower neck, but not those without the narrow section. Just be aware.

Bought this recently to protect a ceiling-mounted light bulb in an exercise area and so far, all is well. I was delighted at the inexpensive solution, compared to difficult-to-find cages. I don't need to protect from flying soccer balls or basketballs, but just an inadvertent swing of an arm, so for me, this product is fine.
