An absurd price for a single little lamp. My bad, I thought I was getting 10 bulbs for this price. A 10,000 hour life is advertised as "typical". Yeah... but I had a bug set up housekeeping in the fixture next to the lamp, and when the lamp came on this season for the first time(off over winter), it toasted the bug and fractured the thin glass bulb from the uneven heating of the glass. There may be cheaper incandescent alternatives, too. "Delicate" is how I would describe the glass bulb.
Check out the LED equivalent(Anyray (10-Pack) LED Replacements for Malibu Landscape Lighting 6 SMD SMT 194 T10 Wedge Base 12V AC DC Warm White) 10 pieces for $24.99 plus $4.94 shipping. Only issue is the plane of light emission from the LEDs themselves. For my application (a wall capstone mounted light), the edge of the LED board faces downward, and that is the direction that the light should shine...
Also, I've just checked, and you can get the Philips 18-Watt T5 Landscape 12-Volt Wedge Base Light Bulb (4-Pack) from Home Depot (stocked in stores) for about $6.57. It's Halogen, whereas this one is "Xenon", for what that is worth. So I won't return this one, but lesson learned!
