I was a little scared when I got this fixture. Mainly, I thought that a single bulb (that comes with the fixture) would be insufficient to light my entry hall well. The fixture also seemed a little cheap, with a plastic diffuser. However, once the fixture was installed, all of my fears were immediately put to rest. The fixture looks really sharp. It either can be placed right against the ceiling or about six inches below the ceiling (see the stock photo), and we have done the latter. It looks quite modern, and not cheap at all. The bulb that comes with the fixture puts out a ton of very white, beautiful light. It is perfect for this use. Perhaps a larger room could use two of them, but for our 5x8 entryway, one is quite enough, and I would suggest that it is ideal for a small room or kitchen. It really provides a modern appearance, but without an expensive price tag. I don't know about durability, but I really doubt that it will be a major issue. The bulb is a bit difficult to get to, but I am hoping that it will last a long time.

I bought this fixture for my study because I loved the contemporary look and the fact that it was Energy Star rated. It completely updated the look of the room, and I get complements on it all the time. It was also very easy to install. Great product!Best Deals for Lithonia Lighting 11750 BN M4 Saturn 26-Watt Single-Light
I needed something to match the Seagull Lighting fixtures already in my kitchen but didn't want to pay the Seagull price for such a simple fixture. This Lithonia fixture is very well built and was easy to install. All the included hardware is of reasonable quality. The ballast and lamp are off brands so we'll see how long they last, but they're easy enough to replace later. So far it's been 3 months and they've been okay.EDIT: (October 2012) The Chueng Shui (or something like that) lamp finally burned out after a year and a half. Not the end of the world. Be careful when buying a replacement. They make 2-pin and 4-pin 26-watt CFLs. Both will fit in the socket of this fixture but only the 4-pin style will work. My local Lowe's only carried the 2-pin (which is actually the less common style) so I ordered one here on Amazon for like $7.
