Brightest keychain light I've ever used. Was using a Gerber Tempo Gerber 22-80107 Tempo Compact LED Flashlight, Metallic Green -which is nowhere near as bright, although it does use simple to find AAA batteries. Then I had a Coast LED Lenser (older version, Amazon doesn't carry anymore). A bit better, but uses annoying button cells. Then the ThruNight -uses one easy to find/buy AAA. Does not have a button/clicker to turn on -which great for a keychain light. You won't accidentally turn it on. Construction seems quite good. And lumens are wow amazing. No comparison between this and the older keychain lights -it's on par with many full-sized flashlights. I'm not expecting hours and hours of runtime, but that's not it's purpose. For a quick, hey let's get a quick look in this cabinet/closet/computer/car/whatever, this is perfect.Got this light 09-24-2013 from the thrunite-store website during the sale. Gave it a positive review, guess I was wrong. Attached it to my wife's carabiner, then attached it on our diaper bag. The head came off and fell somewhere. never noticed it until i had to use the light that night. I prefer my Fenix E05. I regret i replaced it with what seems to be a good product, but probably had issues with the thread being too loose. Wasted my $6.95. The reliable E05 was $9.95 on sale, but is still alive and functional. It will go back on my wife's key chain.
