Ordered this light to replace the standard light on my commercial sewing machine table. Very well made, albeit a tad more expensive than I think it is worth. Regardless, it gives plenty of bright white light and the flexible conduit is very heavy duty. Another great advantage is that the LED's don't produce heat. This makes a significant difference in your comfort level when it is hot and your head is six inches away from your sewing light. Overall it is probably the best sewing light I have ever used.

I love this light. I just wish they weren't so expensive. It comes with a base that you must drill a hole for in whatever you plan to mount it to but, in my mind, that just adds to its flexibility. I'm using mine in my garage attached to the side of a cabinet above my workbench. I can position it anywhere I need it. I plan on buying another and mounting it to my equipment rack in my media room. I need the extra light when making connections to the back of my A/V gear. Great light!

I was looking for a durable LED-based task light for an office situation and this lamp fit the bill. It doesn't wow you by the amount of light it outputs but it worked for my situation where I needed to illuminate a small workspace. Keep in mind that this lamp will need to be fitted with a plug on the end if you are not wiring it into a sewing machine power box like it was intended to be. I am pleased with the durable construction and the overall quality given the price.

I saved $10 by ordering a "used" one from Warehouse Deals (Fulfilled by Amazon). No defects -somebody must have returned it. Anyway, I bought a yellow 3-prong HD Leviton plug at ACE and bolted the lamp to a 2" Spring Clamp for use in my studio. Extremely versatile without the base. I'm very impressed with the solid construction of this unit.

I really could have gone with a 5 but i decided on a 4 because the goose-neck is very very stiff. This is a well built lamp and being LED it is cool, a big plus as it is easy to get burned on a standard bulb goose-neck work light.

I got this to replace the lamp on my band saw. the long neck is great for positioning the light where you need it. Will be getting another for my drill press.

PROs: long mounting screw (can be remove and cut to a shorter size), long cord, long goose neck arm, top lamp swivel, stays cool.

CONs: goose neck is very stiff (bears saying twice), wish it was brighter but i knew what i was getting and its not bad. Wish it came with a lock washer (star washer); without one the nut tends to loosen as you move the light around and while my hardware bins are well stocked, 1/2 inch star washers are not.
