I purchased these night lights because I have a toddler and a baby who LOVE pulling the traditional night lights from the outlet. I guess that there is something about the more traditional night lights that screams "pull me!" The baby, especially, is at danger because of this and I have not found a safe alternative to night lights. Until now. Not ONLY are these nightlights stylish and beautiful and give off just the right amount of glow needed, but they are wide enough so that if the baby tries to pull them out, she cannot wrap her fingers around it enough to pull. Bonus:The prongs in the back are also the same size, so even if you needed to plug this in upside down (in order to use the other outlet), you can. I am extremely happy with this purchase and I would recommend this product without any hesitation.

I bought this for use as a bathroom light on a boat.

The original flourescent light burned out a few weeks ago, I'd been searching for something that worked. This seemed like it might do.

I chose it because even if it "stuck on" with the limited light available to the sensor it wouldn't flatten batteries while we were ashore (yes, it is normal 110 volt power, we are on inverters that change our batteries to house power).

The surprise, even when the sensor is facing the wall there's enough light available through a small porthole to turn it off.

The second surprise, it's a decent size and it looks good, the prongs are tight and it won't fall out the roof. I'm delighted with the appearance.

The third surprise, it comes on dim at first and as the light fades it brightens perfect for my needs.

It provides enough light to adequately use a small bathroom aboard ship expect it to be more than adequate in a hallway or small bedroom.

GE have a winner in this nice little light, hope they don't discontinue it.

This light is used in my bathroom. It is both classy and elegant. It saves me from turning on the light at night and matches all of my bronze accessories perfectly. LOVE IT!! It works like a charm... turns on when the lights go out, and turns off immediately when the lights come on.

The simple truth is that this style of LED nightlghts simply do not illuminate as well as the old 4W incandescent nightlights, regardless of what is claimed about them. This one was well rated and has two LEDs so I thought it would be okay. While it is a bit brighter than one I had bought and returned that had only one LED, it is still pitiful compared to the 4W bulb. The reason is that LEDs are basically directional, like a flashlight, whereas the 4W bulb casts light 360 degrees, and more of it.

So, if you want a LED nightlight, look for one with at least three LEDs and some kind of lense that will disperse the light. As for me, I'm going to stock up on the old-style, light-sensing, 4W nightlights AND a supply of those evil incandescent bulbs, before they all disappear.

Although we tend to do most of our shopping on Amazon, we were able to buy a package of these at a warehouse store and place them more or less all over the house. This means that when we get up at night for one reason or another, spaces are lit sufficiently to keep us from stumbling over ottomans, dogs, and wayward laundry baskets, yet not so brightly that we wake up completely and find ourselves compelled to sit up half the night writing reviews for products we *did* buy from Amazon. ;)

One of the unexpected benefits is the classy design, which, during the daytime or when a room is brightly lit, conceals the stark plastic whiteness of electrical outlets -especially in a particularly dramatic stone tile wall, where we foolishly allowed a zealous contractor to convince us that an outlet was necessary. In our eclectic, Craftsman/Mission-style home, these little accessories suggest that we may actually have some taste -rather than just a scattering of cheap plastic night lights here and there.
