I needed to light up a large hutch and had a while back decided that I wanted to use LED lights because of its low energy use and lower heat generation. I had looked at the product by Ikea called DIODER for this project. What I liked about these PPA lights was that there was much more flexibility than the DIODER: there are a choices of what length of connecting wiring you could order compared to the Ikea product. Also, the PPA lights dim and really puts out a surprising amount of light. The remote control is a nice feature. I had purchased this item from the local Fry's store, but Amazon has some lower prices and several of the extension cord lengths which Fry's did not have. As with most LED lights, the light is a cooler white but it is not "white blue". I had to resist the urge to purchase another PPA OLSHAWHT Home Accient Lighting Kit, White because I did not have the next project for the lights as clearly planned. Also, I wished that Amazon had the white PPA LED's available in the 5, 10 and 20 feet sections as there is for the multi colored LED lights. Overall, I think this is a nice product and have been happy with it.

Color of light is rather blue ~6000K. Light output not sufficient for under cabinet application. Sellers of undercabinet lighting need to give light color in K which is much more accurate than warm white(2700K 3200K) normal white, cool white etc(4000K-4500K) and Daylight, blue white etc(5000k 6000K). Also a rating in lumens or lumens per foot for linear LED fixtures rather than watts makes a whole lot more sense. Under cabinet lighting for a kitchen needs to be 125 lumens per foot minimum IMHO. The little remote is nice but you'd need 3-4 strips of this stuff to give enough light for a kitchen counter.

I'm using these extensions along with the accent strips (PPA OLSHAWHT2 Home Accent LED Strips with 1 Foot Extension, White) for a light box that I made that I use for drawing. It was the best priced light strips I could find, and the quality is amazing. The dimming and brightening controller that comes with it is especially impressive.

These were perfect lights for my 'Off Grid' 12v setup.

They are very cool, and can be put under a counter or table to light the ground.

The remote control is a little hard to find because it is so small, when I have it

in my hands its full lighting control of an entire wall. You Push the On button and it

starts out at the mid brightness. So i can go up or down from there.

Futuristic looking from a distance, and at full power you do NOT want to look at them.

I cant belive how much better these LED's are compared to any christmas lighting LEDs.

The sticky tape is of the best quality, only cut a tiny bit off to 'try' a spot.
