I used the light (in conjunction with a special dye) to locate a coolant leak in my wife's Sebring. It was used in a confined space (under the engine compartment)and in the dark. The light was outstanding in locating the source of the problem.
However, my eyes hurt badly for 5 days after using it, and they are still extremely strained and sensitive to light. I never looked directly into the light, but the reflections from the engine department and perhaps the pooled coolant, evidently reflected back into my face. There were absolutely no warnings about this with the flashlight (or any other information, for that matter).
As I type this, my eyes hurt and are extremely strained and I used it on January 31st, 2012. DO NOT USE THIS LIGHT WITHOUT WEARING PROPER UV PROTECTIVE GLASSES. DO NOT LET CHILDREN USE THIS PRODUCT, as they might shine it directly into their eyes.
I am sharing this with you so you don't have to go thorough what I am going through.
Thanks,
John
2/16/12: UpdateEye Dr. diagnosed flash burn on my cornias and prescribed steroid eyedrops. My eyes are finally starting to feel better. The UV exposure was caused only by reflections from this light, SO WEAR PROTECTIVE UV GLASSES AND DO NOT LET CHILDREN USE THIS DEVICE.

This is very interesting. Scorpions and some other critters light up.I live in scorpion country and this is a great way to find them.
HINT.... buy the yellow safety glasses that filters out nearly all the UV light.
Otherwise you just don't really see anything, the blue light is so bright.... and it could hurt your vision if you don't wear the safety glasses.

One other thing... this light puts a fine point on Bathroom sanitation!!!
