I've been using the lamp for one month so far. The lamp fits regular floor lamp socket, and I use it several hours per day for my home plants which I realized missed sunlight in the dark corner of my room. In addition to the primary function to lit my plants, the lamp unexpectedly brought very nice decorative element into my living room lighting because it emitted beautiful purple-reddish-lavender light. What I've noticed so far is that flowers started to grow very fast, and they looked healthier than before. One drawbackthe lamp is little expensive, therefore I took one star off. Well, if it lasts for 10 years -it's OK (I doubt that but will see later).

I ordered two of these lights. One is still working fine. The other lasted about a week. The built-in fan was still working but no lights. Amazon was great about refunding my money, but that didn't help my plants out of the darkness.

I would recommend the High Power Par38 Standard Screw Base Hydroponic 32 Red +32 Blue SMD LED Grow Light instead. It cost less, covers a much wider area, is very bright and stays as cool or cooler than the BloomBoss without the need of a built-in fan. The BloomBoss is ok if you have several small plants or a single medium sized plant that need some support, but not reliable for a serious indoor garden.

The light is small, affordable and uses a mini fan to dissipate the small amount of heat produced. The fan is mildly annoying when the fan kicks in. I was using it in the entryway to supplement the natural light coming in, but I relaced it with other bulbs that are 3X's larger with a fair amount of Al for their heat sink. I will be using the BloomBoss bulbs in my growing area (modified garage) for which I am trying different systems (T5HO, LED panels, LED Par bulbs etc.

I have a greenhouse in my garage and was using a 18watt, and a 28watt led lights, they worked well up to the transplant point, then I felt they needed more light as they seemed to stop growing, I put the BloomBoss 45 on them and they doubled their size in two days, it is working great, thanks.

This is my 2nd one I 've ordered one 8 months ago and found if the light covers one of my mater plants the yield is increase by about 30 percent,,,, I love these lights and will order a few more soon.
