Very bright. And we got these because we live in Washington State and don't get much sun. With these, hopefully we're getting some of the vitamin D we need.

I bought 2 of these lights to go with the greenhouse light fixture I bought at the same time. These are supposed to be 5000K full spectrum lights. What a waste of money, you can hardly tell that they are on. I will go to the hardware store and buy replacement lights and throw these away. Do not buy this product, nor anything from this vendor. Amazon lists these lights as 'frequently bought with' the 'Hydrofarm FLV42 Fluorescent Grow Light Fixture' but they are clearly inadequate for growing anything, except maybe moss. I am very disappointed in both the product and in Amazon for not pairing the grow light fixture with an appropriate bulb. I have 15 watt fixtures that give off more light.

For my kitchen light replacement, i tried other brands such as GE, Phillips but whatever reason they did not work in my kitchen. I tried this one. Wow! Easy to install it and works instantly. This one has been working since day one for a year now and it is still working. I would say this one is the best.

As an artist I require a light source that provides a wider more accurate range of color than standard "cool white" bulbs. These "Full Spectrum" lamps do it . They also put out more light per bulb than "regular"ones.
