I thought I would try this sothat my better half could slumber a bit more soundly and I could read to my hearts content. Before I opened the envelope, yes, envelope, I commented that the box inside didn't feel sound. Upon unpacking, I found the box fairly compacted, and the light a bit unassembled. I put it back, but found there must have been damage to the lamp head, I was clued each time I picked it up, the head would fall off and then roll and wobble around like a "Buckeye' on the floor Hint: (Turn your light on if you encounter this problem, it is easier to find in a dark room while at the same time fending off two dogs who think it is a new toy they somehow have overlooked). The pins appeared to have broken or snapped off near or immediately where it attaches the to "U" tube itself. I though a bit of glue, and good as new. Wrong, superglue dissolved the remainer of a "bump" of a pin and the "U" attachment points looked like soft wax off a candle. There must have been longer pins that help bring and secure the two components together and I guess they use a tighter fit tolerence and/or a special glue. I cannot vouch for the glue, only the physical condition, after all I am holding two pieces that were formerly joined sometime during their short existence. Now I ordered the batteries. Yes, I am aware I went in way over my head. In that feeling of desperation, I took the gamble I could repair it being the "Mr. Fix It" I believed I was. Wrong. So, I will try once more, cross my fingers, and pray for a better shipping container, or better assembly to withstand the abuse. If it doesn't, all will go back, and I will stay with my back-up eyeglasses with LED's even if they are a bit uncomfortable, yet not as uncomfortable as I feel awaiting my second try. Everybody deserves a second chance, but it's that 'third time a charm" I am not quite willing to stomach. Should of used Duct tape, hindsight is indeed 20/20 and quite possibily reads by a better light. Maybe even a hot glue gun, but I have had my share of problems with that method too. I will follow-up with "Light Redux" in a few days.Best Deals for Bookmark Book Light

Honest reviews on Bookmark Book Light
I purchased one of these Booklights a few weeks ago. Upon delivery, the LED's would not stay lit. The LED's would shut off after you let go of the button. I promptly returned for a replacement. The second one works great! It it convenient to be able to read in the dark, and then fold it up and use it as a Bookmark. A few Cons though:When folded up, the top part, where the LED is, is much heavier than the rest, so when you have it in the book as a mark, and then open up the book to your spot, the bookmark will fall out. Unless you hold on to it as you open the book, it will fall out. Not very handy for single-hand use.
Also, the LED could be brighter. I find myself having to adjust the light or book to see each page.
Otherwise, this is a very handy Bookmark/Booklight. I use it every night for about an hour, and about 10 hours a weekend.
