I've tried other flameless 'candles' before but they didn't look real and I was really disappointed. These are made from real wax so they look AND feel like a candle. The trio I got even have a light vanilla scent. The 'flame' has a gentle flickering motion that teases at the real thing. For use in a centerpiece on your table where you might not want wax drips or on a coffee table where there's a chance a little one might touch it I think these make a great alternative to real candles.
I highly recommend these for homes where there are smaller children and pets, folks who are sensitive to the smoke and chemicals put off by real burning candles, and for use in places where a real flame could be dangerous (ie. near curtains or flammable substances). They're a great substitute for about the same price you'd pay for real ones.

They look like they're made out of molded wax (it's actually plastic), the "flame" inside flickers, they even have a nice, subtle vanilla scent!If you'd like to have some votives around the house but don't want the mess or risk of an open flame, these are the perfect substitute.

When candles burn, they're going to eventually run out of wick, and if you're not careful,something can catch on fire. While it's true, it is hard to screw up vanilla, it's nice to know that they didn't. The "candles" themselves are aesthetically pleasing. They look like a real candle. Lit or unlit.Also the battery life is nice and long. I left them on for quite a while each time I turn them on and they seem to hold up a long time.
The only real complaint I have, and it is big enough to reduce it by one star to me, is that the scent is bit too underwhelming. I wish it was a lot stronger.
Still even with my complaint I can recommend these flameless candles. Not a bad price either. If you want a safer alternative to a vanilla candle, pick these up.
