I also got mine at Costco, and it only cost $8 after a rebate. It's not the perfect bulb, but for the price it exceeded my expectations.
The color is a great match for indoor use, definitely a warm light. I tested it next to a 65W bulb and the light output was indistinguishable to me. There is a small delay when it is turned on but it comes on at full brightness. The delay is a non-issue to me.
I don't intend to use it on a dimmer circuit, but I put it in one just to try it out. It definitely dims but it is neither smooth nor full range like a typical bulb. I tested it in a high ceiling location and the broad beam did not provide enough light at floor level.
But I am using this is a kitchen pantry and it is perfect for that location. I am going back to get more to use in our home office.

I bought a couple of these at Costco for $18 and then bought eight more from Menard's for $14. Not sure what is up with the one reviewer on this site. I use all of the bulbs in non-dimming locations, so I can't say anything about how they work in a dimming application. I have tried a few LED bulbs from Feit, Sylvania, and Philips on a dimmer, and none of them will work the full range of a standard dimmer the way an old bulb will. It could be that LED specific dimmers will work a whole lot better. As for packaging, well I guess I must have better scissors than the other reviewer. I have to say though that with LED bulbs being sold as "green" it would be nice to see a little less waste on Feit's packaging.Along with the positive review on this site I have to say that next to the 65 watts bulbs I replaced these with the look is exactly the same, and they flood just as high as what they replaced. I do feel that the output is higher than the 65 watters. Turn on is not instant. I notice about half to one second turn on delay if they have been off for awhile. This just seems to be a trait of the LED bulbs I have tried. Like all things in life it will not be an issue once one gets use to this. At first you find yourself thinking you did not flip the switch all the way on; but, after a few weeks you just get use to your lights taking half a second to turn on.

I bought 4 of them for a standard, indoor, non-dimming application. 1 burned out after a few months.Still better than CFLs.
