We bought two of these to try under the kitchen cabinets. We were so impressed we bought two more plus two of the shorter ones. They light well. The feature I most like is the ability to link them together without having to plug them in individually.
The only drawback is the mounting brackets. Rather than using them as is which is almost impossible while working upside down, I modified them to let me slide them on and screw through a new hole I made off the side of the light. That cut the mounting time by 80%.
If I need more such lights, I'll head straight for these.

These under counter lights are inexpensive and fairly well made. You can string them together, but the first light in the series, the one that plugs in, must be on the right, with additional lights connected to the left. Although the fixture is only 1" thick, it can not be mounted flush under the cabinets, as the mounting clips hold the fixture about 1/2" away from the bottom of cabinet, which allows an air space between the light and the cabinet.
Depending upon the depth of the lip at the front of your cabinets, this may make the fixtures visable.
I installed five lights in series with no issues. The fixture-to-fixture connectors are simple, secure, and easy to use, and, at 18", long enough for most connections. The complete setup was less than $100, which is a real bargain.
The lights are bright, and provide plenty of light to the counter top. Since each light has an individual switch, you only need to use the light you need, without turning on the complete set.
The fluousecent bulbs are described as "warm white", and they provide a good quality light. At only about 15 watts per lamp, the complete set of five uses less than 100 watts, which is very efficient.

I really like the slim size, the connectability and the price. Replacing a bulb seems to be pretty easy by just pulling off the plastic cover. If GE had longer ones (23" is the longest so far) I'd give 5 stars.

Our 3rd GE Slimline Under Cabinet Light fixture, and we may need one more. Great product easy to install, can link to other Slimline lights, and provides tremendous lighting for our kitchen counter. We tried several other light solutions (those "puck lights" LED) but did not provide the proper light where we needed it. Our initial two Slimlines have been in use for about 18 months, still working fine & bulb replacement not yet needed. You will not be sorry with the GE Slimline follow the directions for easy installation!

This is a nice worklight. I bought two to affix on my workbench. Each light comes with a primary electrical cord, and a short (maybe a foot or so?) tether cord to daisy-chain several lights together. A great idea. Installation was easy enough, with the necessary hardware (mounting brackets, wood screws) included. I would've probably designed the mount a little differently, but the sliding-track method it uses works well enough, and the light does mount very securely. Can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. Everything is plastic, but I didn't expect anything fancier at this price. The illumination is full and even it'd probably be great as an under-cabinet light over a stove top or similar application. No complaints, hopefully it'll last a good, long time.
