I ordered this lite because first it comes with a remote control which allows you to control the intensity of the light. I have a canvas painting in the living room and was looking to highlight some of the painting details. The lite is very easy to assemble and comes with a level reader. When you purchase this item, it does not state the type of batteries that you will need. I had to do my own investigation and it requires "3AA Batteries". The pros on this product is that it is easy to assemble, requires no wires and comes with a remote control. The cons are that it works great for a picture that is smaller in size. My painting is 3 x 5 and even though it provides light it may not be enough. you cannot adjust the angle in which the lite overlaps the painting but you can move both lights on the sides by simply twisting them. The life of the battery is about 1 week depending on how you use it and the intensity of the light.Finally,my recommendation is that I like this lite and it does work for me. If your desired illumination is greater that 5 feet, it might not work ideally.

Wasn't sure something like this existed before searching Amazon. Pleasantly surprised to find it did and came with remote and dimmer functions. Works great and easy to mount. I even used those 3M velcro tabs to hold it to tile as it sits on the canvas frame.

This light is really nice, however, I needed it for a picture light and the picture is pretty tall. The arm on this does not move in and out, only side to side, and I needed it to stretch out farther to shine the light further down my picture. The LED lights are very bright white and I needed softer white. So, it didn't fit my needs, but it is a very nice light. The remote is awesome.

I purchased the picture light in February 2012 and was very pleased with the product. I didn't think the light was very strong but it did highlight the picture.. I hardly ever turned on the light but now find that the remote is dead. It said it would last 1000 hours. I probably turned the light on ten times and it doesn't work now. Very disappointed.

This light seems to be just what we were looking for. Easy to install, just not excited about another remote, but that isn't the products fault!
