I have three of these Designers Edge L-976LEDBR lights mounted on the shop and house. After 11 years of good wide-coverage use, one got a problem with the auto-sensor. I cleaned the lens, fiddled with the controls, but no go -so I replaced it with a new one of the same model. Great lights!

I have had so many different types of motion sensing flood lights over the years I cannot count all of them! I have 6 of them presently operating at any point in time at a cabin and farm. This is the second L976BR that i have purchased. It is more expensive than my others, but guess what!!these are reliable and work! I was getting tired of always replacing these lights and the sensors not working after a couple years. So I decided to spend some money and get a good one. Well, this one works and I will continue to get more of this brand as my other 4 units (not Designers Edge units) will likely fail at some point because they always do.

installed this light in April 2012 the sensor relay failed (light stays on 24 hours )in December of 2012. That's only 8 months of service for $50. may have saved me on my electric bill but not out of my wallet.

I'll change this review if I get a refund from the vendor if not then it stays as is.

Update; Return Window expired on May 4, 2012.

So I can't return it. after removing this fixture I noticed water in the sensor relay unit that is suspended at the bottom. This happened during a rain storm which makes this unit unsuitable for outdoors.

I replaced it with this 2-head LED Security Light Motion-sensing Flood Light/floodlight Commercial/home Super Bright Manufacturer 5 Year Warranty $59.99 at Costco where-house.

Overall solid light and yes bronze is brown, instructions were awfull on how to set up the light for testing mode, the heath light instructions are better. Googled and found how to set up. Also if you have a raised box this is designed for flush wall mount. After two weeks light is very sensitve and working well. Wish it came with better directions

Its advertised as Bronze but its actually grey in color. Not happy there. The worst part is the manual for settings has EXTREMELY small print and you need a magnifying glass to read it and its confusing. The color you see here is NOT what you will get and the description reads to me the bulbs are included but they are not. Wished I had just gone to Lowes and been able to look at one before buying.
