This set is everything I was looking for. It has 1 controller that works 5 separate outlets wirelessly. 1 button for each outlet. I can turn on all the lights in my livingroom from my chair. Was not easy to find after the holidays. Usually big box stores only carry for Christmas, and they only have 3 outlets. I recommend this product.

This is the perfect item for people that go all out for Christmas and decorate their whole inside and outside in lights...there are 5 remote plugs for it and all you do is click on each one and the lights come on...no plugging in and unplugging everyday....I highly recommend this item to everyone...thank you so much for a great product and fast shipping!

The picture has a correct image of the outlet units but NOT of the remote. The remote that is sent with these units does NOT have on/off buttons. Instead, it simply has an on/off toggle switch. This can cause a number of problems.

1) If you aren't positive whether the unit is on or off, you don't know what you are switching it to. For example, if someone were to use this for christmas lights and their wife turned them on by pressing the toggle switch and you were not aware, when you "turned them on" by pressing the toggle switch later, you would really be turning them off. Without going outside to check the status of the lights, you would never know.

2) If you bought these to hack to connect to a microcontroller, you run into the same problem. I have these hooked up to be able to control lights and other electronics at my house from my Android phone wherever I am. Since I am not at my house when I use this much of the time, I have no way of telling whether the device is turned off or it is on. I got around this by adding a database to the design that simply kept track of whether the device was off or on, but its an extra step and its not always accurate as the database will always function normally but from time to time the wireless outlet module will not respond.

The range is great. The unit works at least 95% of the time. However, I specifically purchased this unit because it is depicted as having off and on buttons which it does not have.

Okay -so this might not be for everybody -I've read the reviews re how the unit obstructs the second socket, etc Although that's correct, it's a simple fix to put a 3 socket converter in the second socket so as not to lose use of that outlet. Anyway -the bottom line is, this allows you to control five separate sockets with one remote. So I can sit on the sofa and turn on lights (or whatever) in the dining room, kitchen, and just across the room. And turn them off, too. I have the 3-light remote in my bedroom, so I can lay in bed and turn on/off all the lights on both nightstands, over by the fireplace, etc. before going to bed. It's the height of laziness, but the point is, it works. How cool is that?
