i have had these bulbs for about four months now and already four have burned out. they do not get excessive use. normally i don't change my bulbs for years these are very poor quality, short life bulbs.

If you're stocking up on incandescent bulbs prior to the ban, do not reward GE for lobbying to ban the cheap incandescent bulbs. GE's lobbyists are responsible for the final efficiency standards, which were tailor made by them to hurt their competition more than them. Once the ban was in place, GE shuttered its U.S. bulb factories and moved its higher efficency and LED bulb production to China and Mexico. In the words of Jeffrey Immelt, GE's CEO and the head of President Obama's "Jobs Council," "There's no excuse today for lack of leadership. The truth is we all need to be part of the solution."

These were made in ''Mexico''. On the very 1st one that I put in a lamp socket, the metal base came lose and 'twisted' on the bulb. I wasn't twisting very hard, so the bulb still Lit up. But, I know this doesn't bode well for it's burn life, It'll never last the 750 hours it's supposed to. And when it burns out, and I try to take the bulb out, it'll finish twisting off, leaving the metal base stuck in the lamp socket (that'll be fun). I don't believe the rest (47) will be any better. ~ Thanks 'GE' !!!

Update; the 'above' bulb burned-out, after a total of 4 hrs± of use. I'd buy something else if you can find it.

BTW the picture of this bulb on Amazon, shows a 'frosted' bulb, but you can clearly see the filament, so it's more like a 'barely frosted' bulb.

Never again will I buy light bulbs online, these bulbs 90% of them blow out immediately when inserted. I used a whole 4 pack on one outlet and only one bulb didn't blow our immediately. Don't was your money on light bulbs online.
