I bought these because the price was 1/3 of other bulbs.I was a bit put off by the shape but my initial application was downward pointed, so I decided to try 8 of them.
I was pleasantly surprised.
I will eventually replace all my bulbs with these at least those with a downward focus.

I ordered 5 of these bulbs through a marketplace seller that was selling them for under 5 bucks a piece, and the output seems (to my untrained eye) to be about the same as the other 40w equivalent LED bulbs that I have used in the past (Phillips and Utilitech). These are non-dimmable, which doesn't matter to me, as I don't have dimmers in the house. When I first switched each bulb on, it took over a second to first light up. After initial turn on, the delay is probably now less than half a second, which my other bulbs do not seem to need. That may take a little getting used to, but overall, for less then 5 dollars a piece you can't beat them in my opinion.Honest reviews on Eti 520165 A19, LED, 600 Lumens, 3000k, 8.5-watt, 120VAC, E26 Base
I did not buy these from Amazon, but none the less they are great replacement lamps! I managed to snag these from 1000bulbs for only $5.99 a piece! I was quite skeptical at first until I read review after great review here and on 1000bulbs. For the price (that I got them), you really can't beat them. The lighting is great. Much brighter than I had thought and very close to what my 60 watt incandescent bulbs put out in terms of lighting. They do appear to be a tad cooler (white), though..It isn't by much however and hardly a con. They come neatly packaged and you immediately get a quality "premium" feel for them. The base appears to be made of aluminum, not plastic and they are a tad heavier than your traditional bulb. Side by side... the LED is slightly taller...by a half inch I'd say and just about the same width. I had no issues installing the 20 I purchased. They are multi directional as claimed on the packaging. I'm glad they made this statement as opposed to omni-directional. The do fill a room quite evenly, but the light is definitely concentrated in the are it is pointing.Pros: Great lighting. Bright. Almost perfect color temp. Cheap. Build and aesthetics appear solid/well done. Produces almost zero heat! Cool to the touch. 5 year warranty.
Cons: Slightly cooler (white) than 60 watt incandescent. Light does fill room, but is slightly concentrated in direction pointed. Very very slight delay from turning the switch on to LED lighting up.
