Haven't installed these yet, but they appear to be very well made, heavy gauge brushed stainless steel housing. (At least it looks like stainless -it doesn't actually say it anywhere.) Way better quality weight & finish than I expected, though overall smaller than expected. The overall diameter is just 2 inches, and the light itself is 1/4" diameter. The depth is about 1-1/2".

This is a fixture includes a bulb and a 2' length of wire with an electrical connector. In addition to the lights you will need a power supply transformer (Order#: 103-9472586-9778653)to step down the voltage from 110v AC to 12v DC. It takes about a second for the lights to turn on as the transformer warms up. The standard plug transformer is 30W so you can wire a lot of 1W light fixtures in parallel without a problem.

I mounted two lights in the ceiling to shine down on the mantel and three in my bay window and three highlighting the wall over my stairs between floors. Very pleased with the lighting. Plenty of accent illumination and easy to mount, just make sure that you connect red to red, and black to black with the wiring. Only down side is that when these bulbs finally burn out, you can't replace them; instead you replace the whole fixture, but this is where the connector comes in. You can just pull the light fixture down (it is held in place by two spring loaded clips) and unclip the electrical connector and replace the fixture quickly and easily. LED lights should last many years so not being able to replace bulbs may a slight annoyance, but isn't a big consideration.

Nice light very directional weak pivot, (comes loose) some lock-tight on the adjustment is a good fix. Low draw easy to install. All worked and are the same.

This is a very good halogen for recessed shelves. The casing is made of robust and well looking material. No problems with installation if you have some basic knowledge of electric circuits.

I bought this product 2 LED spotlights & transformer to replace built in halogen lights that were too bright and hot to use. These are just perfect. Only caveat is that you need to be a little electrically savvy to hook these up as they are just wire on the ends. They do not come with connectors to plug into the transformer end. However these lights are beautiful.
