As a night light it will do its job, but the musical aspect is very disappointing. You have to put your ear right up to the whale in order to hear anything.

This little light up musical whale is great. I bought it for traveling to put in my 6mo old PAC n play and he loves watching the lights change and listening to music. The 45min light feature is awesome, my son always falls asleep by the time it turns off!
