I've been shopping for LED PAR (parabolic aluminized reflector) light bulbs for months, buying single bulbs as samples to test as replacements in art gallery track lighting. This one was the best of all when I got it in December 2012. It puts out a pleasant warm white that is compatible with existing halogen bulbs.
It's a fairly narrow spot bulb, about 30 to 40 degrees beam angle, not a flood light. But that lets you aim the light where you want it. This bulb is brighter than several others I have tried that claim a similar light output. I've been looking for bulbs with CREE brand LED chips because of that maker's reputation for quality, efficiency and durability. This unit is built with five 2-Watt Bridgelux LED chips, and they seem to be brighter than the other non-CREE bulbs I've tried.
This bulb is listed as dimmable, but I haven't tested that function and it is irrelevant to me.
This bulb, from RedTag Lighting is, at $14 with free shipping, a good deal on inexpensive LED reflector spot bulbs I've found that have a decent brightness.
However, as of this revision on 4/10/2013, I am knocking off one star from this one, because it is no longer the best I have found of this type. The best is a Feit Electric PAR 30 warm white spot that is listed as 75w equivalent, uses 15w power, and puts out 790 lumens, although it is more expensive than this one. i needed more of a flood, and a warmer light. although they say this is on the warmer end of the scale, i found the light to be rather stark (which I'm finding is true of many LED lamps). the beam was also rather narrow. BUT, if this is what your looking for this works nicely, and the price is very good compared to others. the seller was great, accepted my return and gave a quick credit.

it's a fine light when it's on. color is warm as described. the only problem is that it doesn't shut off all the way using a lutron dimmer/occupancy sensor. i've purchased about 5 different par20 led lights and this is the only one that does this. so now it doubles as a night light.

I hesitate to write this because LED bulbs come and go from the market quickly and I have not yet bought all of these I would like. I replaced 50 watt halogens, originally spot type, but in recent years only flood were available. This LED gives almost 50 watt equivalent brightness and just as important almost duplicate color. It is ever so slightly bluer and of course does not turn more yellow as halogens do when dimmed. Dimming is perfect. The beam spread is similar to 50 watt flood halogens but is a bit smaller. Shipping on 2 orders has been very fast. Buying 4 more today. I buy most any high lumen LEDs I can find and this is the best thus far in my experience.
