I have two Corgi's with their own pet door and they just love to go outside at night and make the light come on...I wanted the light on one night but didn't want to go out and I told the closest dog to me to go and turn on the light and she went right out and turned on the light...Then came back in to get her treat...I like that it keeps the bugs away too when I want to sit on the patio at night in the summer...

I had sensor light at backdoor. If you flip it on it didn't come on, but waited for the sensor to activate. Boo hiss! Which is fine for sensor settings. But what if someone comes to the backdoor after dark and the sensor went out after approach? That has bugged me more than the bugs...lol. This light bulb with http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KKLQ58/ gives me a total solution. When I flip it on, the light comes on immediately. Yeah! Once it runs the limit of your sensor setting, it goes to a dim setting like a nightlight. The dimmer stays on continuously. So if someone comes to the door, stands until the timer goes out and then cautiously came up to the door, they are clearly shown in the nightlight glow. Double yeah! And for once, this bug light sends the bugs elsewhere. It's bright in full on setting, but the amber glow is less irritating than regular bulbs.

So very satisfied for the light and the light bulb.

Much larger beam than a regular floodlight (two bulbs light up my whole yard which is almost 1000 sq. ft.) I use two in the motion detector outside and they do repel bugs as promised! Bugs literally do "not see" the Yellow light and, therefore, do not swarm you as you try and open your front door to get inside (which can be a problem especially in Florida).

Delighted and will definitely buy them again.

Less cost and packed very well. I pair it with the yellow for mood lighting and bug control while sitting by the pool or grilling.
