If you are not looking for bright lights, these are not for you. The are more decoration lights. They light the immediate area where placed. Not bad at all for the price.

These are easy to install, inexpensive, and look great the first season of use.

Several boxes came up short on screws. This was not a problem for me, as I had extras and any wood screw that fits will work.

Then it all goes horribly wrong.

The Ni-Cad batteries failed in one summer (and they are the most expensive part).

The plastic becomes brittle in sun and heat.

The solar panel piece delaminated on 2 of 6 lights.

Bottom line not a robust lighting solution for outdoors or where other lighting solutions are possible.

Not bad for the price but buy extra as they likely won't all work.I bought 12 and 10 work so far.

I was not expecting much from these but for the price I paid at an external store I was hoping for good faith on size and pictures showing lights lit up. Though these light don't light my home light a Christmas tree, they do the purpose of illuminating the perimeter of my patio. If I can keep them out of harms way, I'll protect the people who may not see the 1.5' drop without disrupting traffic ;).

I can say the first con of these are that I can't get anymore locally since for the most they work as I wanted.

The second con would be the drop down box holding the light is weak and hard to get in when mounted. Two light have had the battery/light box come loose leaving the wires open to the elements. I have one so far that needs to be tossed after only after about 3 weeks.

If these devices can be strengthened and a bit less sensitive when artificial lights(motion sensor ) comes on.

If I could recommend anything for future builds it would be to take the light and controller out of the lower chamber so the wires are safer and longer lasting. Fix that and the lights should be solid.
