I've bought and returned almost every brand/model of LED replacement bulb on the market, and this is the first one I'm not returning.
The box says it puts out 340 lumens. The Ushio PAR20's I'm replacing are rated at 600 lumens. This bulb is just as bright, not *almost* as bright, but just as bright with a similar spread. I suspect that the rating on my Ushio's is not correct. Color is around 3100K, so it's a bit whiter than the 2900K of the Ushio bulbs. Much crisper, but with none of the greenish or bluish tinge that I see with CFL's.
I would have given this bulb 5 stars, but I think there's some room for improvement, namely:
Field replaceable optics to change the beam spread for different applications or ceiling heights
A color sensor and colored LEDs like the Cree LR6 to ensure consistent color temps, and the addition of some sort of switch that the user can use to change the color temperature manually. Some people like 2700K, some like 3500K, and different people like everything in between. I myself like whiter light for darker rooms or rooms with reds and oranges, and warmer light for rooms that are neutral or lighter colored.
Dimming! I'm not ripping out a bunch of expensive dimmers just to use these everywhere.
Price. They are spendy. I know it will come down eventually, but I would need to spend over $2k to do all of my lights with these.
I also bought the PAR-38 version of this. It's rated at 710 lumens, and it's brighter than a Ushio PAR30 rated at 1100 lumens. It has a larger beam spread, and it's still brighter on all parts of the floor covered by the light from it. Again, I'm pretty sure the rating on the Ushio's is wrong.
If you're looking for a really really bright LED bulb for a non-dimming can or pendant, then these are perfect. I thought that 3100K was fine for my pendants, but I found that I actually prefer 2900K or so for general purpose lighting. Here's hoping that Feit will address the 4 items I listed above.

The brightness of this light is impressive. I also like the color temperature it seems like a balanced white a little cooler color than the incandescent bulb it's replacing, but it's nowhere near the blue-ish look that you can get from some "bright white" rated bulbs. two reasons why it's not rated 5-stars first is that the box says that "this device shall not be used in totally recessed / sealed fixtures." Which is not made clear in the product description online. It's also much heavier and longer than any par 20 bulb that I've seen (I've had to buy many, as I frequently replace the bulbs in these fixtures).Best Deals for Feit Electric PAR20/HP/LED 3-LED 8-Watt 120V PAR20 Flood Reflector
Bright and dispersed, but 3100k it is not. Much cooler white. Dulls warm neutral hues. The body is larger than a halogen PAR20 and thus a very snug fit in my track fixtures. Hopefully, the technology improves before I buy again.Honest reviews on Feit Electric PAR20/HP/LED 3-LED 8-Watt 120V PAR20 Flood Reflector
I've been trying to trim some fat off of my electric bill and came across these low wattage, high output family of bulbs. I guess only time will tell as to the 22.8 year lifespan claim. But even if they only last half that long, I'll be happy as long as they live up to their 'cost savings' claim. I've tried the GE and Phillips bulbs and these are BY FAR brighter and more reminiscent to the incandescent bulbs we are all so used to.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Feit Electric PAR20/HP/LED 3-LED 8-Watt 120V PAR20 Flood Reflector
I purchased 4 for the flood light above my garage door after comparing all the reviews on all the LED PAR20 choices n Amazon. They fit in the recessed PAR20 hole perfectly. They are really bright -as bright as the 50W one it replaces, if not even brighter. 50W PAR20 has initial 530 Lumen and this LED one is labeled as 350 Lumen. But they just look the same brightness. Color temperature is also quite close!Very happy.
Also happy with the saving. Though 4 of them costed me about $100. It cuts total watt from 200 (4x50) to 32 (4x8). But the electricity saving will pay back the purchase in 1 year: save 168watt per hour, 12 hours on average per night, 365 days a year ==> it's about 735KW per year. At $0.10 per KW, the saving is $73 per year!
Also this confirmed that Feit is a really good branch. Costco also carry a lot of Feit bulbs (all kinds: traditional ones, CFL, LED). I will buy more Feit products.
