I live on a small farm and flashlights are extremely important, in particular hands free flashlights, such as this cap light. I charged this cap light up 2 weeks ago, used it multiple times everyday and still doesn't need recharging! At a predicted 500 life charges, I will get 10 years out of it, WOW!

I purchased both models. This one has 4 white LEDs and the other is the same except it has 2 white and 2 ultraviolet LEDs otherwise they are the same. Rechargeable lithium battery with long operating time (2 LEDs = 80 hrs, 4 LEDs = 40 hrs). They both have two red LEDs, one on each side with several selectable modes for flashing or constant on. The red LEDs are on the side facing forward but visible from the front and side.

One thing I noticed is you can select solid 'red' LEDs with NO white light and at night it looks like large animal eye shine.... Two red glowing eyes in the darkness should scare the beegeebies out of anyone or get you shot by a poacher. LOL

They come with a USB charging cable but no charger. The chargers are extra if you don't have one. I have a wall wart USB and an automobile ciggy lighter USB charger for my cell phone and they work nicely as will as a computer USB port. The cable is standard USB on one end and a small barrel plug on the other.

The electronic insect repellent I can't even hear, so I'll use the neighbor's dog to test it. If you have better hearing and the repellent sounds 'bugs' (ha, ha) you, it can be turned off...

I have a 4 led, rechargable light on my bike and was hoping this would be as bright, but it's not even close. It's ok and better than buying batteries, as long as it lasts a long time to cover the extra initial cost over a battery powered light.

A Blackburn rep told me they will be selling thier Flea headlight with a hat mount after September, that would be brighter.

The onn/off button is seperate from the lights selections.and not very efficient when you are working at night.One button for both would be better.

the seller did a great job in delivering it ,, showing it etc ,, good job guys ,,,, HOWEVER >>i was a little disappointed at ,, how little light that this cap light puts out ..

i love the rechargeable capability's but I use products like this for my job all the time ,, and so far .. I get better use out the cheap,, battery operated ones at walmart ..

I was really hoping to get a product that I can make a permanent addition to my work crews too chest ..
