The description of this bulb branded it with the name "Energy Miser". The item that was actually shipped was the LongStar FE-RSF-20W/50K, listed here:

The bulb itself has a lightweight but sturdy outer shell surrounding a coiled CFL element. The coil spirals outward in a broad cone, giving it even coverage with no hot spots. This 20-watt R30 bulb compares favorably with the Maxlite 23-watt R40, which is considerably larger and more fragile:

Both bulbs emit a well-balanced 5000K cool white light. The Maxlite is rated at 1300 lumens and is noticeably brighter than the 1100-lumen LongStar.Good light output but it starts off very dim and takes a several minutes to warm up. Probably not a good choice for situations where the light will be turned on and off frequently or where full light output is needed immediately.
