Have been using halogen fixtures to light up the area in my back yard where the dogs go at night. Wife continually left the light switch on over night and I was always concerned that the bulb would burn out during the cold and snow seasons, and I would be climbing to the peak to replace yet another halogen bulb. Had the small two fixture halogen and the large single fixture/bulb halogen, and both ended their lives with a corroded socket death, and another climb up the ladder. Then I found these LED fixtures and having some RAB wall washers that work perfectly, I thought to try this Lithonia model. Worried that the two fixture 3 LED in each fixtures might not light up the area like the 500 watt halogens. My mistake! They are so bright at 20 watts LED, that my neighbors are going to complain about the light coming in their bedroom windows. This little set of lights are in the sunlight range of Kelvin (Very bright white light) and easily light up a 50x100 foot area. Best thing is that the photocell allowed me to hard wire and bypass the switch the Mrs. doesn't use anyway, the 50,000 hours projected life (no more climbing the ladder any time soon), and about $.03 a night to run the thing!

Solid construction.

No frills a simple photocell will activate the light at dusk and turn it off at dawn. No timer. No motion sensor.

As other reviews indicate, the light is bold. I have a townhouse with a tiny back yard and it looks like the surface of the sun out there at night. Just like I want it.

After going through much less expensive fixtures I'll be glad I spent the big bucks on this if it lasts for years without maintenance.

Installed two of these, one above garage and one on a small barn. The fixture seems to be of high quality. The light they offer is gorgeous white and bright. The downside is their intensity at their source. The light is phenomenal but may be best in areas where people don't have to face them.

The halogens and compact fluorescents they replaced presented no special issues when facing them. Surprisingly, these are like miniature suns (and I was skeptical about LEDs being bright enough). My barn is next to a road. Not only is the area near the barn very nicely lit but the source of light at the fixture is bright to the point of distracting drivers going by. Similarly, visitors approaching my front door are accosted by the garage lights.

The light cones are 3-axis adjustable for aiming anywhere. I turned them all down toward the ground and back toward the structures they're on. Now, their faces are mostly hidden so eyes won't be bothered but the primary illumination coverage is also reduced.

I replaced the old school halogen rectangle outdoor security lights. Bulbs seem to burn out every 8 months and with (2) of these, I was always replacing these at around $8 a bulb. Plus when they are full on, its 300 watts or half dim for 8 hours at 150 watts. I did like the half dim feature on my old lights, but with the price of electricity going up, have to start switching out. I put these up today and came home to a great looking lite driveway. I have a 3-car driveway with 2 car garage. The light mounted about the 10ft+ mark and completely lights my driveway. I actually had to turn them down a little (facing) because it was too bright. I wish they had more logic in it to maybe have these dim or switch to one light, but then come on to full when motion. (clearly motion sensor is on these) I also notice the prices changes constantly. One day they were around $120, I bought at $135, and today they are $155.. nice job amazon for screwing with the prices. (knock it off). Overall though, excited to be using 20watts instead of 300w.

I seem to be having an issue with the dusk/dawn sensor. Its 4pm and its quite sunny out and the light is on. It seems to turn on not as dusk and does not turn off right at dawn. It can be 8am and the light is still on. My garage faces north, so there will be some shade in the late afternoon, but even my other light would turn off at the correct time. (old halogen).

I feel this product has surpassed my expectations. With only 20 watts of power it illuminated my entire driveway. Its construction was very sturdy and I would highly recommend it.
