I was buying decorations for our house for our annual Halloween party and came across flickering bulbs. My grandmother used to have a pair of lights on the wood panel walls in her dining room that she could turn on and they glowed and flickered like candles. Always thought that was cool.

These bulbs screw in to standard US light bulb sockets in your lamps and emit a warm orange flickering light. They aren't very bright (3W) so don't expect them to replace a 60W bulb. However they are great in wall sconses and along hallways. This is also a great price for these bulbs. I think they were around $5/each in hardware store and Halloween stores. I've tried 6/10 and all worked fine.

I love these bulbs. They give off a nice warm glow that looks like flickering candle light in my antique lamp. I tried to find them locally but that was impossible. The only place I could find them with the standard base I was looking for was at Amazon. I'm so pleased with my purchase.

I've been fascinated by these things since I was a kid 30 years ago. Now I can buy them in bulk, and for a much lower price than individually at a hardware store, if I could find them at all. Much classier than those cheap flickering LED's you can find everywhere now days. These flicker flames are as close to the real thing as you can get! I don't think words can capture the nature of these things. How aboutlike a science project? Mesmerizing, and they last a long time. I've had them in a chandelier turned on 24 hours a day, for over two years. House got struck by lightning once, and had to replace two out of five of the bulbs, but I still have some left over! Whenever I run out, I'll just buy more. Impress your family and friends. Great for Halloween, and Christmas.

Amazon.com can pack an unbreakable baby bottle brush in a huge box and smother it in bubble backing, but not light bulbs. They where packed in a small box with a token, one small pillow bubble that didn't even cover half the top of the box, NOTHING ELSE. No matter how many poor reviews amazon gets on the packing of this product they continue to not even try to do it well.

Don't waste your time, I am returning and wont bother getting an exchange. I am really mad, the whole package is broken. I read other reviews and thought maybe the it was just bad luck with a few broken but now know they are packed improperly and may even be broken when they shipped them.
