Before I bought them I did some researches online. Among all similar post lights, this one has the best design and the price is reasonable. I was not sure about its quality so I bought one at first to test. It has two AA 600 mah batteries inside with two LED light bulbs. (Make sure to turn the base counter-clockwise direction to open it. It's kind of tight but if it will be sitting on the post for years I guess tight is good.) I found out that solar powered LED started with 1.2X lumens for the lighting. Cheap ones only have 1.2X with one LED light bulb and one 200 or 300 mah battery. So this one is pretty much like 5X lumens combining two light bulbs together. It can last about 8 hours after a normal daily charge which tells me the solar panel is working fine. The converter came with the light fit on the post very well. So I went ahead bought 20 more. But when I received them I was disappointed because their color was close to charcoal other than copper like the first one I got. So I sent an email to the seller. What surprised me was that they responsed within one hour! They issued call tag and meanwhile shipped 20 correct ones to me. Things happen but the way they handle the problem is really impressive.
Nice design, good quality, reasonable price, plus professional customer service, they deserve a 5 star rating! I bought 6 more today.

We added 2 of these to our front porch as part of a curb appeal upgrade. They look great both during the day and at night. Plus they light the steps. Dick Crebs

first off I misread the site from amazon "two at such and such a price" I thought that I would get two of them...
Much surprised when only one was shipped. My bad. the light is cool but not bright enuf for anything but glow.
the directions are a little weak since they refer to their 'round' model, not the square ones; but I finally figured out that you must turn the 'base' as if it were round, tho it is square. that opens the place where the batteries go. don't expect instant light. it will charge nicely during one day. will look for alternatives.

This is our second set of these. Put these on our pool deck about 5 years ago and with the brutal winters, they got killed over 5 years of weather beating. But we love the style and look. I put new one's on this year for a grad party. I will take them off when I close the pool for the winter and put them back on in the spring. Seems like I can probably get 10 years out of them that way. They are NICE!
