I've owned an H7 for over a year now. Quite pleased with it. There are brighter LED headlamps available, but it's throw is quite impressive and I think you'll find it's run time is unparalleled among it's 3xAAA peers, allowing it to be bright but light(weight). Gives a nice, clean white light. The strap is comfortable, and very adjustable. The Lamp head has a 4-stage, 90 degree vertical swivel transition that allows light to be directed up and forwards, straight ahead, in-front and down, or straight down. The dimmer switch comes in handyyou can dim it down if you need to read something up close or look at something you're holding. And the beam is focusable goes from a nice, fairly broad circle (flood) to a spot that looks like a square with rounded corners. Again, the light is white, which allows for very easy color recognition. For normal operations, to turn it on, adjust the swivel angle and/or the beam focus only one hand is needed. All those controls are on the head which rests on your forehead. The dimmer switch/AAA battery pack rests on the back of the head and is light and easy to adjust. The H7 also comes with a nice, small pouch that it just fits inside. The pouch is made of wet-suit-type material (nice and strong and soft) and opens/closes with a single velcro tab. I'd give this product a solid 4 stars out of 5.

I was searching for a brighter LED headlamp for hunting use. I hate not being able to see well when making my way to my deer stand in the mornings, or when finding my way out in the evenings. I have tried several other brands and styles of headlamps, then I found this. My GOD Is this thing bright! Battery life is great, although I do wish that it used AA instead of AAA batteries. The adjustable spot to flood is a great feature. I found that a setting inbetween the 2 was the best for my usage. The dimmer is a nice touch as well, although one I won't use much. For the money this light is going to be hard to beat. There are brighter ones out there for 4x the price...give this one a shot. You won't regret it.
