I have purchased five sets of these lights and really like them. I am building a large new home and office and I am using these for temporary lighting during construction. I already have one set in the attic and will add one more when I am done with a set inside the house. I will plug these into a switched outlet in the attic for use on a semi-permanent basis. I highly recommend using compact fluorescent bulbs. A 23 watt CFL bulb is equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent, and uses much less power. I use the 5000K to 6500K "daylight" color bulbs which gives off a much brighter and whiter light. is one of the few sites which rate the color temperature of all of their bulbs. I will be using CFL's in all of the fixtures in my new home/office. NOTE: do not use CFL's in totally enclosed fixtures or with dimmers unless they are specifically rated for that use.

Bought three of these last year to replace some old individual-wire with clamp-on socket style ones. We are an annual church outdoor festival and used these to light up the center of the festival, and it worked very well. The cable seems to have a very thick sheath and I really like the molded hanging points at each light. We used 23watt CFLs in them to save on electricity. They worked fantastically and we are buying a couple of these each year to hopefully phase out all of the home-made ones (I feel much safer with these, especially when it rains or using them in metal-framed tents). As for storage, we use standard-sized plastic stackable totes (I believe one fits nicely, fully assembled, in each with a little room to spare).
