Bought 5 of these 4 years ago and love them, zero problems. They do not put out a lot of light but are classy and rich looking compared to plastic solar caps. We just added onto our deck so just ordered three more. We have had lots of friends comment on them and ask where we got them. They are for looks only and we have needed to change the batteries only once in the four years. Our deck is in half shade/half sun.

I received four of these as gifts for Christmas. They are worthless. The amount of illumination they provide is roughly the same as a bicycle reflector when it is lit by a dim flashlight. Worse yet, the batteries don't charge unless the light is in full sunlight. Unless you are buying these as an ornament to stick on top your fenceposts don't buy.

I ordered this post cap to replace one of the two I had bought at Menard's. We tried replacing the original batteries with new ones but it just never held the charge more than a couple hours. We didn't save the receipt and decided to just buy one through Amazon. This one works beautifully, matches the other one perfectly and I am totally pleased with my purchase. I love the design and color and the lights stay on almost until dawn, even in the mostly shady location they are in.

I have these lights on my decking and they are really pretty. I love stained glass and they really set off my porch. The only reason that I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they aren't as bright as I would like and one of them barely comes on. I probably need to get some better batteries than they came with.
