I'll make this short and sweet. Product works will, almost too well. If you plan on using both kits in the same house don't buy. I put three of these in my basement controlling christmas tree lights, fish tank and electric space heater. Then I use the other kit in my upstairs for a christmas tree. The range is so good for these units that when I turn on the unit in my basement the corrisponding unit turns on upstairs. There are three channels in each kit but they use the same frequency for both kits. Also the units are huge and take up both receptacles. In the end if you only need three receivers they work great but if you are going to use the second set in the same house don't buy. Hope this was helpful.

My first shipment was defective: I could get the battery door off on the 1st remote, but could not on the 2nd remote. I'm in the process of returning the item and re-ordering. Hopefully, I'll get 2 sets with both remotes on the same frequency, so that I can control 6 outlets. Sometimes you want this, sometimes you don't.

Pros:

+ Manual buttons on the outlet itself to override, in case you have misplaced or lost the remote.

+ Batteries included.

+ Power light on each device to see if it's working.

+ Price is reasonable.

Cons:

Size or bulkiness of the outlet device, so you should place this device on the bottom of a 2 outlet wall plate.

One toggle button for on/off on the remote for each outlet, so you don't know if you turned it on or off unless you go look at the connected device.

The remote does not offer a key ring holder or even a hole for attaching your key ring.

Wish list:

* Two outlets on one switch (Lowes offers this, but does not have the local control buttons on each unit in case the remote is lost).

* Ability to control the outlets through an iPhone App (but I guess that is the Wemo product by Belkin).

* Timer or programmable function on the remote, especially for Christmas lights.

There is definitely a demand for better options, but this seems to be one of the best options at the moment.

the wireless outlet does its job well but the size is very large and covers both outlets on the wall most times. I had to use a power strip and even that I could only use two remote outlets on it.

I ended up buying 3 sets of these. They all worked in the beginning, but after about 4 weeks the last set stopped working. I bought a new special sized battery for it thinking the battery had died, but it still doesn't work.

Handy product for lights or your favorite electrical appliances. I'm currently controlling floor lamps with a push of the button. Makes a great gift also.
