The light is very bright and with the glass produces an interesting lighting pattern. I had to get used to it but learned to really like it. However the led light went out in about 6 months and we can't find a way to replace it. product was bought by a handyman and he moved so we are without a porch light.

I have to agree with the other reviewer that these are much brighter and whiter than you would think, but I have them mounted on the front of my garage, and there they look great. The sensor works well, they come on at dusk and go off at dawn. We liked them so much we bought two more for our back doors. But they probably are too bright for a porch light. And by the way, we also got them at Costco for $29.99 each.

I bought my AL-2149 Altair LED outdoor lantern at Costco for less than the Amazon price. The lamp seems much brighter than the advertised 60W incandescent equivalent. More like at least 100 W. For my front door, too white, too bright, makes my house stand out as the brightest and whitest on my block by far. I will probably be returning this lamp in favor of a warmer (light color-wise) replacement. Still very impressive, much more light than expected from 13W LEDs, seems like a good product, good price, ultra low maintenance.
