I have purchased this product before and the lights work well, but when they arrived I had to replace most of the batteries in order to be able to use them.

the light puts out good light. it's LED which I've been trying to switch all the lights in my house to. I bought about 5 more of these lights and they all work well. they use more direct light downwards as opposed to a radiant light outward as a normal bulb would work. If you want more coverage you will need more lights.

I purchased these for my kitchen as under cabinet lights on the counter and lights inside some cabinets with glass fronts. They wired together very easily and come with installed double stick tape or screws to attach the lights and wiring to the cabinets. I don't care for fluorescents and the xenon lights just put out to much heat to put into the cabinets to make me comfortable. These put out a good amount of light (slightly blueish in colour) and draw very little electricity. I am very happy with the way my installation came out and with the product.
I had some of these get so dim after a year that I had t replace them with the Zenon ones. Very disapointed.
For a clean install, buy some extra 22ga hookup wire and a $16 dimmer switch.
Put transformer in basement, run power through supplied switch through wall to dimmer.
Then run wire to Fixtures. I mounted fixtures just behind face of cabinets and right next to eachother.
The result is a really clean look with no exposed wires. There aren't cones of light like that from undercabinet pucks.
Instead, a perfectly even illumination of cabinet and backsplash.
I absolutely love the result and with such low power consumption, I have no problem leaving them on all the time. Now they are often the only lights on in the house! Only wish the fixtures were black, but would still buy this set again in a heartbeat. Led is the future. The future is here.
I can't believe how easy these were to install. Took less than two hours to install all three sets of lights. The two longest parts were pulling the backing off the stickers and cutting the wire to the proper lengths.
First we laid out how we wanted the lights, then pulled off all the plastic covers and wire caps. I plugged in the transformer and hooked it up to the switch. Then I cut the wires to the proper lengths and laid them in place. Then we just snapped on the wire caps, and we had light(s). Mounting the lights easily took the longest time because I am challenged by pulling paper off of sticky things. Once that was conquered, we stuck them in place and were done.
Once we were satisfied with how things looked, I went back later and screwed the lights into the cabinet.
The lamps in the box were very well packaged and the shipping speed was excellent. One light by itself does not produce much light, but the 6 under our cabinets produces plenty of light to see in the bread machine or on the cutting board.
Information for the energy-conscious: I hooked 11 of these lights up to the Watt-O-Meter, and it was reading 7 watts. When powered off for several hours, the total energy usage recorded did not register even .01 kilowatts used. The third set was used to replace an under-cabinet fluorescent light over the sink. 3 of these LED lights are about half as bright as that 20-watt tube, with much less glare.
If I had more cabinets to do, I would buy these again in a heartbeat.
UPDATE (2/26/13): Over a year later, these lights are still going strong. We leave one set on as our "don't come house to a dark house" light, and our electric bill hasn't changed. These lights are still as bright as the day we put them in, and have seen a lot of use. The only minor issue we had was the sticky tape was not holding, so we put in small wood screws bought from {insert local big box home improvement store here}.
I have recommended these to several people, and will continue to do so.

We purchased the contractor kit (LED Under Cabinet Lights Contractor Kit), along with two starter kits (Under Cabinet LED Lighting Start Up Kit), to install lighting under our new cabinets that we installed around Thanksgiving this year.I can't believe how easy these were to install. I expected these lights to be just a little brighter, but still a decent choice. The pictures you see probably have no gaps between lights and utilize every inch of space under the cabinets. They are very easy to install and are 20-30% brighter than the typical round LED lights you would find at a store. The price seems on the high side but when you compare the number of lights with a retail store (number vs. price), this is actually very cheap. My entire kitchen is now lit with lights left over. If you are placing these on 2 sides of a galley kitchen, buy an extra spool of wire.

After using this light daily for a while, I am happy to review it. There is such a large selection of these kinds of lights that it is hard to know which one is right for me, but I did a lot of research and decided to buy the PD30. The light is so well made that it's hard not to gush. It's smaller than I imagined from the descriptions and photos, which is a good thing for a light you want to carry with everyday. It's clips onto your pocket and most of the time you won't notice it's there.
This model has all the modes I might need and nothing I don't. Changing modes in practice was easier than the product descriptions made it sound. This is my first high quality LED light, and even though I had read reviews and watched video reviews on YouTube, I was still surprised at how even and bright the LED light is. It's nothing like those cheap LED lights you see at the convenience stores, or the hardware stores. The beam is rock-steady and more consistent from edge to edge. The shape of the barrel keeps it from rolling on a flat surface which is a nice feature, and the metal case is very tough. I have absolutely no regrets shelling out the money for this light.

I use this for trail running. I had to give this 5 stars despite a few weaknesses because of its superior performance. If you want to go through an entire night with a featherweight light which is bright enough for trail running without having to change batteries, this is it!If I am moving slow or on level terrain, the low setting is fine and lasts basically forever.
For typical night trail running (slow running on really rough trail or faster running or slightly rough trail), medium setting is fine and will last all night (even in winter) with plenty of life to spare.
High mode or turbo would only be needed for long range searching with the light. According to Fenix company data you can get almost 8 hours out of high mode, but I have never needed to try it!
I like the fact it uses two CR123A batteries because it makes the light lighter, more compact and longer lasting. It can easily fit in any pack pocket, barely taking up any room. The tradeoff is that the batteries are more expensive and less widely available (you might not find them in every corner store).
It could be engineered better. You have to be careful not to screw the head on so tight that it is in turbo mode. This burns the batteries in a couple hours and there is no "indicator" to tell you that you are in this mode. The head needs to be backed off just a bit to use the "normal" three light levels. If you unscrew it too much, the head comes off. You will get used to this and there is a long way between turbo and the head coming off so you have to really mess up to cause a problem. Also the mode switch is on the end of the light, so if you use what I consider a normal grip, it is not easily operable with one hand. If you have really big hands, this light may be too small to feel comfortable with... I have about a men's medium hand (a bit smaller than average)and it feels really comfortable for me.
Be careful... even medium light can temporarily blind you if you shine it in your eyes from close range!

The manufacturers of this high performance flashlight are not kidding when they claim and market the product high performance. The lighting capacity (257 lumens), the 6 types of output, waterproof property, impact resistance and compact size truly is worth the pricey tag (is a 4 5/8" long flashlight people!). I made it part of my EDC as soon as I got the batteries, yes it doesn't include batteries. It uses 2 3 volts CR123A batteries Energizer EL123APB-2 3-Volt Lithium Photo Battery (2-Pack) which are not cheap either but; Seriously? not even a pair of some unheard brand are included FENIX people? Nowhere in Amazon's product description or Mfgr's product specifications do they indicate that batteries are not included so you have been warned about this small but crucial fact. I recommend that you buy some batteries with the flashlight on Amazon, they offer a better price that any electronics or discount well known stores and avoid that probably forgotten bittersweet memory of getting that highly desired electronic game or toy for Christmas but no batteries. It also comes with a high quality nylon/webbing sheath that could be attached to you belt or added to a MOLLE system gear or could also be attached using a pocket clip with a very nice finish on it. Two additional O rings and on/off extra button are also included. When they recommend NOT shining this light into your eyes, it is with good reason. You'll see spots!A well-crafted, compact, and versatile flashlight. Several modes from efficient (enough to light your path ahead) to blinding portable sun, with SOS and nearly seizure-inducing strobe settings thrown in. Tight beam, impressive beam distance in turbo mode. It's surprisingly lightweight, very good for everyday carry. Not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for. It's also worth it to buy the fairly pricey CR-123A batteries in multi-packs for a better bargain.

This light looks very pretty when on but is of no practical use as a night light. It does not even provide sufficient illumination in a 4x6 foot half bath as they only illuminate for 6-8 inches around. I would have returned them but it was not worth the expense. I bought this to find a bathroom light that wouldn't be as disruptive to sleep cycles and melatonin production, in the event of a middle-of-the-night pit stop. As several people have commented this nightlight is quite dim, and I was a little tentative when making my purchase. When it arrived in the mail I took it straight from my sunny living room into our windowless bathroom, plugged it in, shut the door, and turned off the lights to test it. Talk about disappointment I couldn't see a thing! It made a tiny red glow in the corner of the black room. HOWEVER, I failed to take into account the fact that my eyes were still adjusted to the daylight in the room I'd just left. Luckily, on a whim a few nights later, I gave it another shot and plugged it in before heading to bed. When I woke up in the middle of the night and went into the bathroom, it was perfect. And I had no trouble falling back asleep when I got back in bed! LOVE this light! I'm a DJ and I've had to load my equipment after outdoor gigs in near-pitch darkness. The light is bright and the unit is adjustable so I can move it around and see what I'm doing when taking down the speakers, gathering everything up, checking to make sure I'm not leaving anything behind, and then making my way down dark pathways. On occasion, I've had to let vendors who didn't plan for loading in darkness use it. Practically everyone who's seen the light in action wants to get one just like it. Designers Edge/Ecozone makes similar lights, but you simply can't beat the L1313 because it's rechargeable!
After running the lights for about three months about two hours a day three of those lights are already burned out. A bunch of the other ones are getting really dim.

UPDATE: 6/25/12: Light in our fridge went out a few months ago and this was the bulb that works so ordered a few more. Then light in the oven went out, same bulb. This seems to be the duct tape of utility bulbs! I now have an extra on hand...we'll see which one needs it first. My money is on the lava lamp...

It's amazing how long the light in the oven lasts but like all good things, it comes to an end.Pop in this bulb and we're probably in for many more years of solid service.

I was looking for a new desk lamp. I really like the color temperature that a halogen light puts off, but I hate the heat they generate. LEDs solve the heat problem, but I don't like the color temp of the light they often generate. The Prism solves this problem by allowing you to dial-in the color temp you want.
I was able to get exactly the light I wanted with minimal heat. I thought the price was a bit high for a desk lamp, but given the functionality I got, I am happy with the purchase.

This is a really really good/great lamp. It's easy to maneuver into place. The color of the light is easy to soften/brighten. The instructions that came with it actually note that over time the nut that secures the LED arm to the base may loosen (from frequent movement) and may have to be tightened. It's the type of bolt that can be tightened with a coin. Very easy. Lamp seems sturdy. It's priced well here for what you get. My desk has been lamp free for a year-and-a-half and I just couldn't take it anymore. I also have a hard time making decisions, and with the plethora of desk lamps on Amazon, it was taking a while. I ordered this lamp after looking at about a thousand, and couldn't be happier. I'm in law school and sometimes stay up late studying. My overhead lights weren't cutting it due to my shadow covering the text (so distracting). This lamp cures the problem, stylishly. I bought this light a couple of months ago and have used it for reading which it's great for that but now I've been using it on my desk where my iMac sits. Sad thing is the iMac is too tall so it the light won't sit over it although you can adjust it so that it does but then your eyes are exposed to the LEDs. It's awesome and well worth it if you have the budget for it. The lighting settings are fantastic and it's true that the light won't bother your eyes or give you a headache like many of the other cheap lights do.

I received this lamp exactly one week ago as of today. After having owned the lamp for one week and putting it through vigorous tests I have to say that this is by far the best lamp that I have ever owned. I am currently a senior in college majoring in Business Administration Management (BA) which correlates to a huge workload requiring putting in long hours and extensive amounts of reading/studying. It is so easy to read with this lamp in comparison to that of other natural daylight fluorescent lamps because it has an integrated light filtering feature that causes less strain on your eyes. I have used this lamp non-stop for over 7 hours at a time as I crammed for multiple exams and worked on papers and it performed exceptionally well by not giving me a headache as other lamps tend to do. On the main setting that I use (Cool level three bright setting) which according to the lamp manual states that it produces (6500kKelvin) it is as bright as the sun itself. When using the lamp on this setting the light emitted from the lamp honestly feels like I am outside reading in direct natural daylight when in fact I am up at 4am studying. This lamp is absolutely amazing because it has so many features and its light scale is very dynamic ranging from 2500k-6500k on the Kelvin light scale. It has three light settings which include bright, cool, and warm. Each setting can be adjusted on a scale ranging from 1 -producing low light, 2 producing medium light, and 3 being the brightest possible light setting. The lamp itself is very lightweight and maneuverable and can articulate in seemingly any position that you need to which is a very important feature as some lamps are very heavy and cant be adjusted to needed positions. The only thing that I can say that concerned me about this lamp was the packaging. When the lamp arrived via (UPS) it was a bit damaged on the bottom of the box making me think that the product itself was damaged. After opening up the box and analyzing its contents under close inspection I concluded that the lamp was fine and no damage at all was apparent. Before I bought this lamp I did read from other various reviews posts whom had also purchased this lamp to not purchase this product because they thought/assumed that it was used and/or damaged. Please do not let those reviews discourage you from purchasing this lamp you will definitely regret it. As I sated, the outside of the lamp packaging was damaged a bit but the contents inside were perfectly fine. In fact, one reviewer even stated "Unfortunately, I never even plugged it in. I pulled it out of the box and was initially convinced it was used!" Like I said Give this lamp a chance, I promise you if you read and study as much as I do or just need a good natural light source you cant go wrong with this lamp. Also this lamp has a 3 year manufacturer warranty so no worries. It the perfect price for such a great product and besides if you do have an issue Amazon.com is amazing and they really care about their customers and I am sure that they will be happy to assist you if a problem should arise.

Great lamp, especially like the 3 separate settings for different lighting conditions. Works well over my monitor @ work and provides adequate light for a large area of my desk without adding glare. Color change option of TL-7000 is a cool feature, making it possible for me to adjust the lighting mode based on my mood. Timer that automatically turns off the lamp is also a great feature to remind me of a break during a long reading project. However, my favorite thing about this lamp is that it can reach over my LED monitor to give the light where I want...it's been hard to find a lamp that has the overarching adjustment option. I purchased this lamp after looking at the vendor's website and noting the higher customer ratings on Amazon. The box arrived heavily damaged by UPS even after I requested it to be sent as a gift and was *NOT* double boxed. The lamp itself is made of plastic (except for the base) and creaks every time you move it. The base does not swivel. The LED portion of the lamp sags down under its own weight. The joints are made of plastic, which look prone to breaking given time. On the other hand, the accuracy of the brightness and color temperatures are great. Unfortunately, I am returning this unit to Amazon for a full refund. There are some other LED lamps out there like the Koncept Z-Bar which cost much more but are built wonderfully. This is an awesome LED lamp! I love this light!This lamp provides great light with several lighting options. I find myself using the "Cool" light feature all the time and no other light options. I bought this light from the manufacture on Amazon with very fast shipping!
I do wish the top of the "pivoting head" on the lamp would have been tighter and stiffer. The "pivoting head" doesn't always stay in the position I want it in. I find myself at times playing with the lamp's "pivoting head" to get it just right and have it stay in my desired position.

I got this for 2 blown out lights of the same brand/model. The fit and finish are very good and I am very happy with the price. I would recommend this product. It is much better than the others I looked at at the local home improvement store.
First, cut and discard the wire-piercing connectors, they are junk. Silicon-sealed splice connectors are the only way to go for direct burial. Ignore the Malibu instructions to daisy-chain the fixtures and learn about spider-splices, loop and tee connections to reduce voltage drop (lights dimmer towards the end of a run). Do not skimp on the transformer, it is the heart of your system and use no less than 12 gauge cable unless your run(s) are very short (25 feet or less).
This research could be dangerous to your wallet, though, as you may find yourself popping for a multi-tap transformer, 10 gauge cable and a voltmeter! All in all, a decent light for the price if you replace the pierce-type connectors.

I've used several of these light fixtures for about nine years, and they've proven to be reliable and a source of good garden lighting. They're easily adjustable to focus on specific plants or trees. I've found them quite good. My only concern is that the contact connections often loosen up from the main feeder wire. Floodlights were brighter than expected...love it. They light up the dark corners of the yard and highlight some of our plants. Everything is enclosed so that no bugs or stuff from the trees can get in. Big improvement over what we were previously using.
