These may not be the most versatile or longest-lasting solar motion-detecting lights you can buy, but they are/were perfect for my application.
The body of the light is sheet aluminum, as you can easily see from the picture. There are two screw holes for mounting, which is adequate. They don't weight much probably less than a pound.
The bottom side is all plastic, but that's fine as it should not be exposed (much) to the elements. The only thing I fear durability-wise is that the heat of the Oklahoma sun will eventually turn the plastic brittle, but if they last for a couple of seasons I will feel I have my money's worth.
After charging for one day in the sun, I mounted mine and they are working just as advertised. Mine are mounted about 8-9' off the ground and activate within a similar radius from the light. When the light senses that it is dark (dusk), it comes on in an 'energy saving' mode (low light) until activated. Then it lights up in its brightest mode, which gives good light for 10 feet or so. If there is no further motion detected, it goes back to 'low light' mode in 30 seconds. There is no adjustment for any of this, but it works pretty good for what I need it for (taking my dogs out in the yard at night) and I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. If it lasts for a year or more, I'll be a happy camper. I've already invested in two more hope the price stays reasonable ($23 with Amazon Prime)
EDIT: After owning 4 of these for a couple of summers, I did find that they kind of started to have a "mind of their own" as another reviewer mentioned. Of the 4, maybe one a night would decide not to activate. At first I thought it was just one and it was defective, but after a few days it started working again and another one went "on the blink", as it were. Since I had more than one and they were in the same general location (across the back side of my house), it wasn't a huge issue for me, but if you only had one and it began acting up you might be a little less sanguine about it just so you know! I still can't gripe about the overall value and utility and am getting another half-dozen or so for my new home.

I am very pleased with this light and have ordered a second one -now that I finally figured out how to turn it on (it was apparently shipped in the "off" position, so at first I thought it was dead upon arrival).
I am using it as a front door light. The front of my house gets direct sunlight for about 4 hours per day. It works great, even on cloudy days. I was able to install it by slipping it into the siding, didn't need to use the screws to mount it. This way I could try it mounted in different places. However I recommend using the screws to properly mount it when feasible.
The light is pretty dim until it detects motion and then it brightens adequately for my use (illuminates the front stoop for nightime entry). I have no issues with the motion detection. It brightens as I approach my front door, and dosn't seem to be triggered by anything else. When I used the regular front stoop light in the past, it was swarming with moths and other insects, several of which ended up flying inside when I opened the door. This dim LED light does not attract insects at all.
By using this, I am able to keep the front stoop light off, and keep the bugs outside. It will also provide a small savings on my electric bill.

This is a very nicely packaged product that has a lot of benefits and features. It is a solar powered lighting system that contains an internal rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Direct sunlight charges the battery so the light requires no wiring to install or use. The unit is easily installed and mounts with two screws. The solar panel life is about 5 years and the LEDs have a life of 50,000 hours and do not have to be replaced. The light is designed for outdoor use.
The most critical thing is to make sure that you install the light where it will receive adequate sunlight to charge it and where it will also not be lit up by other lights at night so it will come on. You have to understand that on cloudy or rainy days or when the solar panel is covered with ice or snow it will not be as effective and it may need to be recharged by a bright sunny day.
I rate this light as a 5 star product for its ease of installation and use and I recommend it to you.

Solar powered motion senseor light, very easy to install, only needs to use two screws. There are two settings for one the light will come on. When it is night time, the light will be on a very low power setting, and when motion is detected it will go into a bright light setting for thiry seconds. The light is not as bright as your standard halogen flood lights, but it's bright enough to know where you are walking and better to save on electricity costs. If you have several of these installed along your wall, the low light setting gives a pretty nice effect, sort of like seeing those solar powered garden torches.

This works nicely as an accent light, I guess, but don't expect this to light the way on an exterior walkway. The light output is about what you'd get from a five watt incandescent lightbulb not nearly enough to light a general area. I also find it oddly annoying that the light is -alwayson at a low level and then brightens to full power when it detects movement. Some may want that but I'd rather have it be completely dark until needed. Unfortunately there's no setting to turn off the light when not needed.
There is enough light to illuminate a doorway for putting a key into the lock but there's no way you'd consider it enough to light up the porch.
