The temperature of the light is very cold and anesceptic feeling. But I guess u could call it "daylight" color temp. More disappointing is that the led bulbs annoyingly flicker at low levels and that they wont turn themselves all the way off with my wall dimmers. No memtion was made of this on the product site. I guess im supposed to go buy some specialised LED dimmer switch. Super lame!

I bought these bulbs to replace 50W bulbs in my track lights and they work great and 4W is a 46W per hour savings.

If you don't mind waiting for this order from overseas, it was the cheapest I found. The first foot of the sticky tape was not so sticky on half of the rolls I ordered. Also, one strip had a bad red LED. Other then that works like advertized.

Arrived as described!.... Using these as extensions on other RGB kits that have power supplies and IR recievers... not a perfect match to those... but close enough!.... Perfect for indirect lighting...

First off, they do the job much more cheaply than an electrician replacing the can with a j-box, then needing to patch the ceiling. I installed 2 in my living room, and installed near-ceiling lights with 3" canopies. It works.

However, there are drawbacks. The plastic disks they include to fill the gap between the canopy and the outside of the can look like crap (off-white) and they hate paint. I could not get them to lie flat against my white ceiling and had to caulk and paint; if I did not look crossly at the plastic the paint stayed on, barely. Difficult to get them centered so they show evenly around the canopy.

Also, they are not certified for remodel fixtures. How do you know if you have a remodel fixture? You tear out the can, or cut into the drywall around it, and see how it is attached to the joists. I just took my chances, but would not do it with a fan.

I am about to order another one in spite of all. But I am ordering a 6.5" canopy for my new fixture so I don't have to look at the plastic ring. With a $40 price tag for this item, the plastic ring is a cheap compromise.

The package I received was easy to follow with the directions that came with it. The directions contain pictures as well as detailed descriptions. I had mine up in about 30 minutes.

The only complaint I had was that the parts were probably manufactured in China and the quality was not there. An example would be that it came with 3 machine screws and 3 wing nuts to tighten onto those screws. One of the wing nuts was too big for the screw. It was little defects like these that caused me to have to replace a couple parts with items I had on hand.

I got two of these to install pendant lights in our kitchen to replace the "can" lights in the ceiling. The first one I had to struggle a bit then realized I was misinterpreting the instructions which actually were clear, it was me. The 2nd one I did without even looking at the instructions was a breeze. Make sure you have an appropriate ladder, as you will be working up there on the ceiling for a while especially on the first one you do, getting familiar with it. At the end of the day, it looks great and nobody would ever know that there was once a can light there! If your can fixture is well mounted and supported, the conversion kit will provide a very strong solution and it says in the instructions can even be used for ceiling fans.

I have a SureFire 6p and I've upgraded to the P61 bulb for over a year now, I sometimes turn it on to look for things in the dark, and the flashlight stays on for about several minutes. The bulb is still running strong on the same batteries that came with my SureFire on the P61 bulb, which is supposed to only last 20 minutes. Awsome!!!

Afraid of a pistol or pepper spray for self defense. The out put of a sure-fire falshlight with the P61 bulb is incredibly bright. My wife asked for one to use in her car...after she finished yelling at me for blinding her.

The lithium batteries with their 10 yr shelf-life mean that it will be ready when you are. For regular use however, stick to the stock P60 lamp. 20 min is too short a battery life for regular use.

Best Deals for Surefire High-Output 120 Lumens Incandescent Lamp Reflector Assembly

I got the P61 drop-in Xenon bulb for my Surefire 6P, but soon went back to my incandscant P60. The Xenon bulb runs my CR123s dry twice as fast but the only way to detect the increase in brightness was to change bulbs quickly and pay close attention. Unless I carried this light for self-defense (and hoped that blinding a would-be attacker would give me enough time to escape), or used it for tactical reasons, like on a shotgun, the regular P60 is adequate for daily use.

If you have a Surefire 6P and want to upgrade, I'd suggest the P60L LED which is supposed to put out more lumens than the incandescant and less than the Xenon, but increases your battery life. That's a big plus in my book.

I think the P61 is a good quality product, so I gave it 3 stars. But it's hard for me to tell the difference in brightness over the P60, which doesn't justify the battery run time being cut in half, in my opinion.

If you've ever worked in confined spaces (under a car's dash, behind a sink, inside an appliance, etc.), you know that at times even small flashlights are too big. Sometimes you need a small light that can wrap around obstructions and light obscured areas.

Until now, in these situations I have used a "Bend-A-Light" that is similar to the Stylus Reach. The standard Bend-A-Light retails for about the same price as the Stylus Reach, so a comparison of the two is useful.

The Bend-A-Light is larger and slightly heavier. Its flexible neck is longer than that of the Stylus Reach (9.5" vs. 7.5" from bulb tip to flashlight body). However, the effective reach of the Stylus Reach is greater because its body is only slightly wider than its flexible neck (owing to its use of super-small "AAAA" batteries). The body of the Bend-A-Light houses "AA" batteries and is over twice as thick.

The Stylus Reach also features an aircraft aluminum casing (vs. the Bend-A-Light's plastic body), a MUCH more flexible neck that is shielded and insulated with PVC, up to 60 hours of run time on one set of three "AAAA" batteries (included), momentary "blink" or constant-on switching, and it's waterproof! Moreover, it has an unbreakable LED light that burns cool and is as bright or brighter than the Bend-A-Light's fragile, incandescent bulb.

[I should mention that there is a considerably longer (24"), brighter Bend-A-Light called the "Krypton Pro Bend-A-Light." However, I have no experience with it.]

I am exceptionally impressed with the brightness and quality of the Stylus Reach. It is one of those items that nobody knows they need until they have it. It would make a great gift for any do-it-yourselfer or tech geek.

If Streamlight would make a version of the Stylus Reach with a longer neck, I'd happily buy it, too.

As a welding inspector for commercial, residential and public buildings and bridges I get sent to look at some difficult to reach areas off ladders, in deep trenches or 17 stories up a steel frame. The areas that I look at are poorly lit and at times I have to use a mirror to see all areas, this light gets me 100% coverage for what I need to do.

The bad news is that this light takes AAAA (quadruple A) batteries, if you don't stock up and carry extras this light is nothing but dead weight in your pocket. A fresh set of batteries do last about 4 weeks or so for me, product says they're rated to 60 hours. I keep a fresh pack of batteries in my canvas bucket just in case, of course I keep an extra light as well.

The flexible cable is tough and the entire light fits snugly in any of my coverall pockets.

The LED tip is unprotected, scuffs easily, but the brightness doesn't seem to be affected by this.

UPDATE2/6/2012

This little wonder is going strong!

The plastic casing around the flexible shaft is severely worn, but that's cosmetic. Everything else is working just like the first week I started using it.

Buy this light for tight spot illumination.

Top quality light in every way: bright white light, durable bulb, strong shaft, on/off switch easy to actuate. Size is perfect the batteries are a little hard to come across and needs an apparatus to focus the light. Still the best pen light I have ever seen or used and anyone who has used my light inquires, how much was it? and where did you get it?

Honest reviews on Streamlight 65618 Stylus Reach Pen Light with Flexible Cable, Black

This is a great little flashlight. Not amazingly bright, but very bright for such a small flashlight. It is about as bright as my 2AA mini maglite. The flexible cable is nice and sturdy.

The only other thing is the AAAA batteries that it takes... they can be kind of pricey. I recommend getting 9-volt batteries instead. Pretty much any 9-volt battery can be taken apart and you will find 6 AAAA cells inside of it. It's a pretty handy trick.

I really like the inexpensive Streamlight flashlights. I found this Stylus Reach and thought it would be good for bore inspections and other detail work. For a $17 light, it's not bad. Just okay...

The light is well-made. I've used mine for all sorts of dirty things and it holds up just fine. The pocket clip is a bit cheap, as it slides up and down the light instead of staying in place. This gets worse after a while, as the anodizing wears off and the clip loosens up. You can remove it, tighten it a bit, then re-install, sure. A glare guard is included, which is simply a piece of soft plastic that slides over the bulb end of the Stylus. It has a hole in it, and this allows you to guide the beam a bit more. In all honesty, it barely works for that, and I keep mine installed just to not scratch up the LED. The light runs on two AAAA batteries, and two Energizers are included. You're going to get about 65 hours out of a pair, and the batteries sell for about a dollar each when it's time to get more.

The Stylus uses a 5mm LED and puts out around 10 lumens, and the beam is the typical blue-ish blob found in so many 5mm LEDs. The tailcap doesn't do anything for me: press the soft button for momentary on, or tighten for constant on. I greatly prefer a clicky switch, but I understand it may not be possible at this price and small diameter. It is 9" long, so that's a bad thing for me. That takes up a lot of space for a penlight. The LED is mounted on a 7" long flexible steel cable, and is good for peering into the bores of guns or other around-the-corner work. I had a Stylus Reach in my EOD kit in the military, and it worked just fine.

For the money, I don't think the Stylus Reach is a good value. If it were closer to the $13 range, it would be good. The long size, rare (and expensive) battery, and weird tailcap make me want to carry something else.

Damn, these things are bright! I was thinking of trying to purchase wall mounted lights for emergency use during power outages in our server room. So glad I purchased these instead. They are very bright, and are actually the perfect size, in the sense they are big enought to carry and position where needed, but not too bulky and kind of stylish as well. Very easy to use, just follow the simple instructions, plug-in and charge. Within hours, they are charged enough to use, and will be fully charged in less than a day. I love them! The handle on top really reminds me of carrying a lantern in ye olde days, but the light they give is wonderful. We bought four of them for our server room and I look forward the the next power outage. They cover a lot of area and allow for better movement and visibilty than the wall mounted battery backed up ones. Very happy with this purcase. The price was great shipping was efficient.

Met my requirements for the specific purpose -garage emergency light. However it is heavy (it uses a lead acid battery instead of newer, lighter technologies), it charges VERY slowly (15+ hours to charge for 7 hour run time), and the lens does not spread the light evenly. On the other hand, it does sit firmly and will not fall over and it can be hung on the wall very easily.

this is a classic lamp that looks much more expensive than it is. it has a solid base and the proper dimensions and detail to fit in a library or office. the only thing that im not crazy about is the gold thread on the lampshade, which close up looks a little bit arts&crafts, but its not that noticeable unless youre 6 inches from it, and its not a deal breaker. in fact, i ordered a second one because i really loved the overall look of the lamp and the classic brass and black color scheme. its also worth mentioning that this lamp provides very elegant light (it comes with 3 compact florescents but i prefer good old fashion 25 watt incandescent bulbs) because of the black opaque shade with gold interior reflects the light very nicely.

LED floodlights are still somewhat rare. The product came with no instructions, and required a bit of research to translate the Chinese cable coding to US, but that was fairly straightforward. What was less straightforward was the product's use of "cable glands" to provide a waterproof connection. A second "gland" would have helped immensely. The most time consuming part of the installation was researching what was being used to secure the cable, but now with this review, the hard part is done. I now have what is probably a lifetime supply of cable glands for an approximately half inch diameter hole needed for an outdoor box. It might be possible to find them locally at an Wholesale electrical supply store, but other sources were fruitless, so I ordered on-line. I even resorted to a trip to Radio Shack, where I at least I had the pleasure of watching the expression on the associate's face when I asked if they had any cable glands. (He had the presence of mind to ask what I was trying to connect).

I would conclude this product, and general design, is superior to Edison bulb LED "improvisations" in my opinion. LED lights need "drivers", and burying them in the base of screw-in types of bulbs results in an intense hot spot that brings the effective life of such bulbs, (not the product rated), to much shorter than advertised. I have heard a "saying" that no one has been able to light a warehouse with LED's. Perhaps, but the world is gradually getting there.

Ok, so at first I was very skeptical given the fact that most of the LED MR16 bulbs I have tried have been either (1) not bright enough, (2) greenish in color, or (3) poor quality, (4) large and bulky. Well let me tell you that these bulbs are not. They work perfectly, are very bright, are dimmable, and the same size as standard MR16 halogens. In fact, these are honestly the first 50W equivalent bulbs in size, color and brightness that I have purchased. There is another vendor, LEDCREELIGHT whose bulbs are half the price but the quality is not there. So far, these are top quality, and no wonder that they are the OEM manufacturer to Home Depot, Sylvania, and even a Lowes brand. My only complaint and why I would give it 4 stars is the cost. If these were $20 and I suspect that when Home Depot carries them under the Ecosmart line, they might be. I have purchased 9 so far and if it wasn't for the cost would replace all the halogens in my home (over 100).

I'm one that once I find something that works, I get a bunch of them. I've now installed 7 of these and absolutely love them! Have had no problems so far (the longest installation is 8 months now in a garage to control outside lights), and the mechanical mechanism really shuts the power off. I use these to control outside lights and am running all led and cfl lights off them, the lights have no "hum" and when they are off, they are off.

The timer is extremely easy to program. Also when the timer turns on and off there is a satisfying "click". Would not change a thing.

I had a previous, but identical-looking, model of this ST01 wall switch timer that ran flawlessly for six years before I replaced it with this newer ST01 that, according to Intermatic technical phone support, supposedly has a more reliable motor and now works better with compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) bulbs. When the timer automatically switches on or off, and when you manually turn the timer on/off, the internal relay switch makes a satisfying robust clicking "thunk" sound.

Installation of this wall switch timer is not that hard and the included "Easy-Set Guide" sheet shows how to wire this using a 3-way switch or single pole switch configuration. For a single pole switch setup, connect the timer's black and blue wires to the wall's two wires, cap the red wire so it is not connected, and connect the green wire to a ground or grounding screw. This is the simplest and quickest installation; you just need two wires and a ground. For a 3-way switch setup, connect the timer's black wire to the common/shunt wire, connect the other two wires to the timer's blue and red wires, connect the green wire to a ground or grounding screw, and rewire the "common" terminal of your existing remote switch according to the diagrams on the installation instructions. But if you are not comfortable with safely working with electrical wiring (e.g. always turn off the power at the circuit breaker), you may want to hire an electrician to install this for you. Also, when using this wall switch timer to replace an existing light switch, dimmer, or timer, you may need to also replace the light switch plate. If you hire an electrician, that person may or may not have a perfectly matching light switch wall plate, so you may need to shop around or take this ST01 switch to the hardware store and match the dimensions to the size and matching color of wall switch plate that you need. This is especially important if your light switch wall plate houses more than one light switch in it. During installation, you may also realize that your switch box is either too shallow or too crowded, so you may need an extender to have more depth. Intermatic's Web site provides downloadable videos on how to install and program this wall switch timer, and Intermatic has also posted their how-to videos on YouTube.

This wall switch timer is supplied with a long-lasting "CR2" lithium battery that will last at least 2+ years. The battery powers the clock, stores the programmed settings, and also retains the time and settings in case of a power outage. "CR2" batteries are commonly used in digital cameras and they are not expensive to replace every two years. Unless your home frequently has power outages, each new battery should last at least two years before you need to replace it. The timer's previous programming is lost when you replace the battery, so you need to reprogram the timer after installing a new battery. The switch is rated for 15 amps at 120 VAC or 8 amps at 208-227 VAC. Not all brands of programmable wall timers can be properly wired without a neutral wire in the wall box, most other wall timer models require a neutral wire that is not present in older houses, not all wall timers work with CFL bulbs, and not all wall timers work with a low motor load switch such as operating a ceiling/attic/whole-house fan, but this Intermatic ST01 works with all of those setups. Some other timers require a neutral wire to power its clock and programming, whereas this ST01 uses a battery to operate those functions. This is a more flexible design that does not require a neutral wire in your switch box. Some older homes do not have a neutral connection to power the switch; power is fed to the fixture instead of the switch in those setups. And because this ST01's clock is powered by battery, it is not affected by variations in house current voltage that can sometimes cause digital clocks to become inaccurate over time.

The programming of this timer can be set up to be either fairly simple or very complex. You can program up to 40 "event" settings per week, where an event constitutes either turning on or turning off the lights. An "event" is not a paired on-off cycle. So a maximum of 40 event settings basically means that you can program up to 20 on-off pairs per week, set to whatever times and/or days that you prefer. For each "on" or "off" event, you can either set the time to a specific time or an "astronomic" time that is based on North/Central/South zone of the U.S., Daylight Saving Time, and Dawn/Dusk settings that you configure during initial setup of the timer. When setting an on/off event to be based on your area's Dawn/Dusk time, this timer can automatically adjust for the changing times of sunrise and sunset throughout the year, which is quite nifty and clever. For each on/off time setting, where specific on/off time settings can be mixed with astronomic on/off time settings, you can also specify whether the setting should be applied to all days, weekdays only, weekends only, or just one specific day of the week. With such flexibility of programming, setting up a complex series of up to 40 timer events can have the potential problem of creating timing conflicts that clash with each other, creating unexpected sequences where the lights remain on when you expected them to turn off, or where the lights do not turn on when you expected them to. So if you want to set up more complex timer event sequences, it may help to first sequentially list all of the desired on/off time settings from Sunday through Saturday on paper first before proceeding to press the timer's buttons and program each event.

After you have set and saved all of the on/off time settings, you can run the timer either in "AUTO" mode, which uses the timer settings that were programmed, "RANDom" mode, which varies your on/off time settings by +/20 minutes, or "MANual" mode, which basically makes the timer switch work like a manually-operated light switch with no timer-controlled on/off switching.

Because I wanted frequent variations in daily on/off times, more than what can be achieved just by setting one on/off pair of events for weekdays and one on/off pair of events for weekends, I set up 14 events on my previous ST01 wall switch timer, in a sequence like:

Sunday-Off: 4:30AM (Event #1)

Sunday-On: 8:30PM (Event #2)

Monday-Off: 5:00AM (Event #3)

Monday-On: 6:30PM (Event #4)

Tuesday-Off: 4:30AM (Event #5)

Tuesday-On: 8:00PM (Event #6)

...

Saturday-Off: 6:00AM (Event #13)

Saturday-On: 8:00PM (Event #14)

When combined with running the timer in random mode, which randomly varies the settings by +/20 minutes, throughout the week, this turns my outdoor lights on at night as early as 6:10PM and as late as 8:50PM and turns off the outdoor lights as early as 4:10AM and as late as 6:20AM. So to my neighbors (and, knock on wood, to any potential burglars trying to case/watch my house), my outdoor lights do not look like they are being switched by a predictable time-controlled timer (or photoelectric light sensor timer) and they look more like someone inside the house is manually turning the lights on/off. Two or three times during the span of a year, I would shift around the on/off times to add some variations.

When my original ST01 timer no longer worked and I replaced it with a later ST01 timer model, I used a similar 14-event setting as described above. But I noticed that on some, but not all, Sunday mornings, my outdoor lights remained lit even though the timer should have turned them off. At first, I thought that I had conflicting timer settings. But that was not the case. I then replaced the internal CR2 lithium battery to see if that would fix the glitch. The problem persisted, always randomly happening on some Sunday mornings with the lights still remaining lit from the night before. Phone calls to Intermatic technical support also offered no extra help. So, finally, on a trial-and-error basis, wondering if my timer settings perhaps sometimes "dangled" in the "on" state due to my 14th event setting being the Saturday-On event, I tried adding a 15th event that, like the first event setting, was another Sunday-Off setting:

Sunday-Off: 4:30AM (Event #1)

Sunday-On: 8:30PM (Event #2)

Monday-Off: 5:00AM (Event #3)

Monday-On: 6:30PM (Event #4)

Tuesday-Off: 4:30AM (Event #5)

Tuesday-On: 8:00PM (Event #6)

...

Saturday-Off: 6:00AM (Event #13)

Saturday-On: 8:00PM (Event #14)

Sunday-Off: 4:30AM (Event #15)

Adding the redundant 15th event, which is identical to the Sunday-Off event #1, actually fixed my problem, and I now no longer have some Sundays where my outdoor lights remain lit. I mention this just in case you have programmed your ST01 timer in a similar way, with individual on/off events for each day. If you are experiencing unexpected on/off timer behavior, verify that you have not programmed events which conflict with each other. And if you still cannot resolve a timer event that refuses to turn off or refuses to turn on, try adding another redundant on/off event to see if that fixes the issue, which was what worked for me. I later modified "Event #15" to be an all-inclusive catch-all, so my programming looked like:

Sunday-Off: 4:30AM (Event #1)

Sunday-On: 8:30PM (Event #2)

Monday-Off: 5:00AM (Event #3)

Monday-On: 6:30PM (Event #4)

Tuesday-Off: 4:30AM (Event #5)

Tuesday-On: 8:00PM (Event #6)

...

Saturday-Off: 6:00AM (Event #13)

Saturday-On: 8:00PM (Event #14)

ALL-Off: 7:00AM (Event #15)

With each of my individual morning turn-off times being no later 6:30AM, setting "Event #15" to "ALL-Off" at "7:00AM" means to turn off the lights at 7:00AM for all days of the week. The earlier individual morning turn-off times activate before this "ALL-Off" is reached at 7:00AM, but since it was annoying to discover that the outdoor lights had been left running all day, I just used this redundant "Off" event as a back-up, and I no longer have problems with the outdoor lights being left on during the day.

Like any programmable timer that is very flexible with its mix-and-match options, this may not be easy and intuitive to use for everyone. But if you carefully read the included instructions, it is not that difficult to update the programming after you familiarize yourself with the sequence of buttons that need to be pressed. Programming this timer to always turn on at a specific time (e.g. 7:00PM) and turn off at a specific time (e.g 7:00AM) for all days of the week is the easiest schedule to set up. You just need to program two events in this case:

ALL-On: 7:00PM (Event #1)

ALL-Off: 7:00AM (Event #2)

If you make the schedule more complex, you also have to be more careful with the programming.

As with the previous older model of ST01 wall timer that I had, the LCD display that is used to both display the clock and program the timer is about the size of a small LCD wristwatch. But unlike an LCD wristwatch, there is no backlight button option to improve the contrast and clarity of this display in dim surroundings. This timer's LCD display must be viewed with adequate lighting to view the display at night. If the area where you are installing this wall switch timer is often dim, you may need to turn on other lights or maybe even use a flashlight to clearly see the LCD display. I have previously pointed a flashlight at the LCD display to make adjustments at night. A backlighting button option would have been a useful feature on this timer, but since I only look at the LCD display when making adjustments to the timer (which I only modify once every four or six months), this lack of display contrast/clarity does not bother me.

This wall switch timer comes with a 1-year warranty. I really wish that Intermatic would back this timer with a 2-year or 3-year warranty for better assurance, but so far, both with my previous ST01 wall timer and this current one, the timer has worked well for 5+ years, needing only one replacement of the CR2 lithium battery.

If you like how this wall switch timer works after using it, Intermatic also manufacturers a similar plug-in timer, the Intermatic DT620 Heavy Duty Indoor Digital Plug-In Timer, White, that plugs into a three-prong outlet and can turn on/off two separate devices plugged into the plug-in timer. The DT620 uses similar circuitry and is programmed in a similar way like this ST01 wall switch timer, with similar Auto/Random/Manual operation, and either explicit time or astronomic/dawn/dusk programming for each of its events. The DT620 Plug-In Timer mainly differs from this ST01 wall switch timer in that it can be programmed for up to 28 events, compared to this ST01's 40 maximum events. With my outdoor lights controlled by this ST01, I plug lamps into two of the DT620 plug-in timers inside the house to turn some indoor lights on and off in unpredictable patterns, with one DT620 downstairs and a second DT620 upstairs running on a different schedule.

In the 'Comments' section of this review, I list the YouTube videos that Intermatic has posted to show how to install and program this wall switch timer.

Unit works as advertised, programs like a 1980's VCR. What I didn't realize at time of order is that the switch is 100% battery operated. Yep, the switch will work when it's not even in the wall (of course it won't be able to control the load). Wanted one that used the neutral connection for power and the battery to keep the time. Battery is a special lithium instead of a common AA.

This timer operates easily as advertised. The U-Tube videos on installation and setting by Intermatic make the 3-way installation simple. Highly recommended.

I installed this switch about 7-years ago to control a fountain pump. I recently replaced it with a Honeywell RPLS740B, which is about the same price on Amazon.

1. If your switch location does NOT have a neutral wire (white wire), this type of switch is your only option as it has a battery to keep the clock moving.

2. Batteries lasted about 2-years for me. I guess ordering online is fine, but I seem to recall they are about $8 at Home Depot or Walgreens and not all places carry them.

3. Volatile RAM. When the battery is removed, the memory is cleared.

4. Programming is unnecessarily difficult for non-sunset/sunrise schedules. Easy if you want a standard on-at-dusk/off-at-dawn program. But for me, to turn on a fountain at 8AM and off at 8:30PM (for example), it's very difficult to program.

5. Partial failure after 1-1/2 years. It would turn-on but not turn-off. Stayed like that for years.

6. All switches of this type are physically large and take-up a lot of room in a box (especially if you add-in wire nuts, etc). If you have a shallow, single-gang box, this is not fitting into it. Even some of the older metal boxes that are somewhat shallow are difficult.

Bottom line if you have a neutral wire in your box, I would go with the Honeywell RPLS740B. Same price, has an indicator light that tells you when its on, is much easier to program, and does not require a relatively expensive and difficult to source battery that zaps the memory when you replace it.

Here is a short video showing this LED spotlight installed in the eaves at my house. It works really great and it produces a great warm pleasant light, much better than I expected! It comes on instantly when you switch the light on and it consumes a tenth of the power that my previous halogen bulbs did. I'm very satisfied!

Very hard to rate a bulb less than 5 stars when the seller is extremely responsive, but ..

These bulbs have a higher profile than the halogen they are supposed to replace. That might be a problem in some of the fixtures that use the low profile of the halogen to an aesthetic advantage. But that's not a negative, so long as you understand it.

On the other hand, these LED's are not a replacement for the brightness level of a halogen, despite the kelvin rating (I believe that rating is either skewed or misrepresented). I tried different beam widths, but both fell short. So to replace the brightness of my 50w halogen, I'd have to find a 75w or perhaps higher LED.

Color can be an issue as well. I wouldn't say it's a negative, but when you've become accustom to warm& or cool temperatures, as relates to color, the warmth and coolness of these LED's are different. Not better or worse, just different, so it's worth thinking about this in relation to what other bulbs or colors you have in the same room.

Ultimately, in fixtures where one is just spreading some light over an area, without any specific brightness required, I'd go with the LED in a heartbeat, if for no other reasons than the absence of heat, and the promise of longevity.

I ordered two warm white MR16 replacement LED bulbs and am very satisfied. No more burning sockets and a saving of 46 watts versus my previous 50 watt bulbs. You cannot go wrong with these. I lined up the LED's along side the halogen and couldn't tell the difference. Thank you Torch Star

Bought these to replace halogen Bulbs for my outdoor lighting. They are very bright and have brought my outdoor lighting setup of 16 50 watt lights which is 800 watts down to 64 watts. Less power used on my electrical system and will help the power bill as well. They have a great focused beam which is perfect for my the outdoor lighting use. I am gong to be ordering more for other lighting inside my house as the light is even better then I expected.

Torchstar is a great company to deal with. Order came on time. One bulb was broken I called customer service who was very kind and bulb was sent out to me on the same day. I would order from this company again. The Led spotlight was a little less light than the halagen. But it beats burning out my sockets.

I give the company from 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest a 10 rating.

The product about a 6 or 7. The company was honest about thier product when I told them the lamps were not as bright as I thought they would be. I would buy other LED lights from this company over Lowes or Home Depot. You save alot of money for the same product.

I can't say enough about my new chandelier, except I love it. I'm redecorating our guest room and saw this light and had to have it. It made the whole room. It's from IKEA for around $59.00. But we don't have an IKEA close by so we bought it on Amazon for $119.00. I don't really understand why the higher price. But if you like it and your near an IKEA that's the place to buy it.

Unlike most lava lamps this one you fill yourself with (distilled) water. The system works with a water pump pumping the water around and making the fish swim.

This lamp is really very cute and the light intensity (blue color) is good for a night light. The noise the pump makes however was driving my kids insane.

We bought this for our sons' to use in their room as a night light. It is so loud that they cannot sleep. I can hear it down the hall with the door closed! We are all very disappointed. I do not recommend this product.

I got this for a night lite for my son and it works great! It's just enough light for the room. The lamp does have a bit of humming noise but it is a great white noise for sleeping. I haven't had a problem with anything and would recommend it.

Honest reviews on Lava Lite 7208-4 14-1/2-Inch Lava Aquarium with Life-Like Fish

Just add distilled water and wait a bit and the fish start swimming. Its a bit noisy from the motor and rumbles a tad. A bit distracting in a quiet room.

The top cap is not tight... if it falls water will spill out easily.

Don't waste your money on this item... The fish are cheaply made and do not swim as the picture implies even after carefully following the directions for setting up the lava light. I ended up returning this item because of the lack of the "lifelike swimming" and the surplus of "dead like floating" that the fish partook in.
