I had 2 burn out me, both of them were in well vented desk lamps. Had them on for 4+ hrs, then stopped working, took it apart, the solder on the circuit board melted and shorted it out. RECOMMEND MANUFACTURER FIX THIS ISSUE WITH A BETTER HEAT SINK PLEASE BEFORE IT STARTS A FIRE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love these lights outside for the holidays. But, I do wish they were brighter. The color is great but they give off very little light.

While LEDs are still a little high in price this bulb is fun to have. It has a cool remote and you can set to a large variety of colors or, in a multi-color changing mode. we have a bucket light we use when camping and can't wait to try it out when we go.

I purchased these for young kids who have used them for over six months and they still love having the ability to customize their light color. The price is very reasonable but there are two things that I would note.

1) As another review mentioned the light bulb does not retain it's setting when power is turned off from the source such as a light switch and defaults back to a slow cycle through all the colors. If you turn the bulb off using the remote and back on it will remember the setting but isn't very practical in most situations.

2) This bulb is not very bright. LED bulbs tend to put off less light (lumens) than even CFL bulbs even at the equivalent rating. For example I have five (5) of the GE 2.8w LED bulbs that put a combined 400 lumens. I can use a single GE 10w CFL bulb that produces 520 lumens and it is brighter. The moral to this story is this single bulb is not very bright. It does comes with a three-way step down but even at its brightest setting it isn't bright enough to read a book unless you are sitting very close to it.
