I bought this to add some light in my camper van. It came in a timely manner and was on a spool roll like old film. It unrolls easy and has sticky back that sticks very well to both wood and cloth. One end has a special connector and the other end is two wires (red and black). It was so simple to install by peeling the sticky back and unrolling from the reel. I used it above a counter and across the ceiling of a Chevy G20 conversion / camper van. Turning corners can be tricky on the flat, but it's doable. Also, the instructions were very good.
What was surprising was the amount of light this strip puts off: it lights up the entire back of the van and is very comforting to have so much light at night. So much better than dome lights.
If you need to add light to a challenging place(s) this is a great and easy solution.
You may want to consider the special connector(s) end(s) if you need to cut the strip.

I bought two rolls of light strip to use as accent lighting on bookcases in my "library." They were a snap to install and connect, creating a nice ambient light.Best Deals for Lighting EVER LED Strips, LED Ribbon Lights, Warm White, LED Under
These lights are pretty awesome. The install can take as little as 2 minutes or 2 days, depending on how much you want to hide wires, switches, etc. It ended up taking me 2 days only because of wire hiding and "junk box find" power supply. The color looks great and it really livens my kitchen.Honest reviews on Lighting EVER LED Strips, LED Ribbon Lights, Warm White, LED Under
I rated this high because it met all my expectations (which may differ from yours). I had those pricey puck lights under the cabinets in our last house and the bulbs cost me about $50/year at $6 each!!! These LED lights are SUCH a cheap and easy alternative. It uses negligible energy and the lights don't get hot. I can forget and leave them on and not worry. We have a high end kitchen with new Merrilat Kona cabinets, a huge granite island contemporary accessories and 9 ft. ceilings. These lights fit in. The only thing we need to do to make this look more custom is cut a "channel" through the wood under the cabinets (where two cabinets meet).
I've had these up for weeks and they haven't fallen. The 3M sticky backing is super. However I expect that to fail at some point, when I will either use construction adhesive or a staple gun. I also bought the wireless remote (EVER RF dimmer) which is a must. I love it and use them all the time.
The lights have a pretty holiday effect where they reflect off the shiny granite.
I think I'd recommend the bright white for under cabinets though. I hate bright anything, but these are just a tiny bit too soft.
We will be buying another set (of the lights which can change color) for the tops of the cabinets. The proper lighting turns any kitchen from ordinary to really nice.
