Above our stove we have three lights that originaly had halogen bulbs. These were burning out every two weeks and were expensive at $8. By switching to these we have gone almost four weeks and I expect them to last a long time.

Pro: price/hours lasting; low electricity use.

Con: not quite as bright; diffused light rather than spot light.

Update: These bulbs are on almost constantly as a nightlight in our kitchen. None have burned out and have already paid for themselves by outlasting the (chinese) halogen versions hands-down. Still keeping the rating the same based on they are less bright than the halogens.

Used two of these to replace the halogen bulbs in outdoor spot lights that kept burning out. It has now been several months and these have lasted twice as long as the halogen bulbs. They put out just as much light and I am sure are using far less electricity.

Warm white, as described. The product description states that this is for indoor use only. Nevertheless, I'm using it in a sealed fixture in a outdoor low voltage system; and it's working fine. My outdoor lighting system has very long runs off the transformer, and I have voltage drop as a result despite running the lines in a T configuration. Regular incandescent lights at the end of the runs are dimmer than those nearer the transformer. Changing all of the bulbs to LEDs has cured the dim bulb problems.

Replaced a burnt out halogen spot. This is bright when looking at the bulb, but did not do as much for the room however this is not a spot, its a flood. I am not sure you can really read properly as you could with halogen, but its good for mood lighting. I'd go up a bit in PAR rating for reading. Just realize the light is not focused at all. Many of the Halogen bulbs are much more focused, which when you look at how this is made, is understandable the light sources are not in any sort of focusing cup like the halogen. I would give 5 stars for price/value but seems a bit low on light to me.

These bulbs are not polarity sensitive as many LED bulbs are.

Good and bright. A pair of these draw 0.18 amps at 12.6 volts.

They are as bright as some halogens which drew 1.2 amps @12.6 and nearly the same color.

They do creat RFI interference on my Antenna TV. It will knock out channels 7 and 11(actual) if placed within a couple feet of the TV, from a full strength signal to nothing.
