The Amazon product description states this bulb has a 3 year warranty, but the bulb packaging doesn't mention anything about a warranty. It does give a website. That website specifically says this bulb has NO warranty. I think the claims of a 3 year warranty listed here at amazon are in error. See for yourself at the website printed on the bulb packaging:This bulb appears to be about the same brightness as the 25 watt incandescent I replaced. So I'm saving 23 watts for about the same light. I probably only use the bulb about an hour a day. And I pay only about 10 cents per killo-watt-hour. So that's:

23 watt-hrs/day x 365 days/year x .001 kw/watt x .10 dollars/kw-hr = $0.84 savings per year.

So it's gunna take me over 8 years for this bulb to pay for itself. That's a long time for this bulb to survive without a warranty. Not sure it's a good bet given that other reviewers claim they have had high failure rates (at least early in the bulb life).

I don't think the bulb is nearly as attractive as the Philips LED candelabras, but those bulbs are way too expensive to make any real economic sense, unless you're using the bulb 24 hours a day.

I'll be keeping this bulb, but I don't think I'm going to replace the other candelabra bulbs in my house just yet.

----UPDATE April 25, 2013 -----

It's been six months since I wrote this review. Some of what I said appears to no longer be accurate. In particular, the Lighting EVER website DOES now show the bulb to have a 3 year warranty.

The current product description claims the color of the bulb to be warm-white. The bulb I got in October 2012 was a blue-white color (not at all warm). I actually stopped using the bulb because I found the color of this light so depressing. I see that a review posted just two weeks after mine says the color is warm. Lighting EVER fixed the warranty -perhaps they also improved the color of the bulb after I got mine.

I finally broke down and bought some Utilitech bulbs. They were twice as much money as these bulbs, but also twice as bright (300 lumens vs 150 lumens). The Utilitechs also have a much warmer color than the color of the bulb I received.

I bought this LED bulb with the candelabra base for use in a little round globe lamp that I got from Ikea. I thought that since it was only 2 watts it would provide a nice soft mood light for the room. LED bulbs have come a long way in the last couple of years. Older models were usually dimmer than advertised. (That's what I was counting on when I ordered this.) This is indeed comparable to a 20 watt incandescent if not brighter. It's 3000 K which means it's a warm color, similar to an incandescent, rather than the more harsh bluish light of some of the early LED's. It turns on instantly with no warm up. I'm impressed by the brightness and the design although I wish I could find an LED with this type of base that was a little dimmer for use in my lamp. So five stars for the bulb because it's exactly as advertised and I'll use it until I can find an LED that's 1 watt.

I purchased 8 of these bulbs and have had to replace 2 within six months. I now have one that is producing a burning smell so I am going to have to replace them all.

Honest reviews on Lighting EVER T2 2 Watt LED Candle Light, Replace 20W Incandescent

Ordered 7 of this Samsung Ever T2 LED bulbs for my chandelier, mainly for their energy savings and long life. After about 10 hours of use over two weeks, 1 bulb lights up dim, another one flickers on and off continuously. These LED light bulbs are rated to have a service life of 20,000 hours. 2 out of 7 went out in such a short time ? This Samsung product has serious quality control/design problems.

These bulbs are fine, with a good amount and color of light at very low power. However that is only when they work! I ordered eight of these bulbs because I needed eight. However only six worked. The other two were completely dead. I sent those back, and ordered three more in the hope that at least two would work. In fact two did work. The one that didn't work would light intermittently if I tapped it. (Note: I tried these all in different sockets to make sure it had nothing to do with connections outside of the bulb.)

I would conclude from this that there are manufacturing defects in the connection of the LED to the screw plug. LEDs themselves pretty much never fail (unless taken over current).

Fortunately returning things to Amazon is relatively painless and free. So if you're willing to order maybe 30% more bulbs (actually I'd go with 50% more) and return the ones that don't work, you'll be ok.
