These do not hurt my eyes like the halogen bulbs they replaced. I prefer the white light of these (cooler than halogen, but in yellow range. Depth fit nicely into the 3" Lithonia recessed housing and trim. The diameter of the lamp is ever so slightly wider than the original lamps, so these sit slightly off center really hard to tell unless you are installing the lamps. Yes, they are dimmable and dim fairly well (but the halogens dim over a wider range)

I wanted to light up my mom's painting's on the wall and this LED allowed for a natural lighting.The difference between this spot and a regular generic one is that the outer diameter is just
slightly larger therefore the outer ring doesn't fit to screw on. That's OK because it really
doesn't need that ring. Only 6 watts and will probably last for 20 years, well worth the money.
