The assembly and design of this lamp needs work. Don't get me wrong the LED light works great and throws off a great deal of light. But you will need to disassemble the lamp and have some super glue handy to fix a design flaw. I ordered two of these lamps and they both had the same issue. When plugging into the lamp socket, the pins would slide up into the base. Nothing was holding the pins firmly in the base of the light. You can unscrew the white plastic rear cover and once removed you will see that there is nothing holding the pins in place. A little superglue inside the white plastic shield where the pins slide through and then reassemble the light let it dry and then you can seat the light in your lamp socket without problems.
On a positive note, these lamps throw out a very warm light that is compatible with other halogen lighting.

I got four of these lights for a ceiling fixture that took hard-to-find, 20W MR16 halogens. I didn't get the recessing-pin problem when installing. The light is perfect: warmer than CFLs, brighter than my old 20W spots, 80% cheaper to switch on!
My only knock is the spotlight's listing as a "50 Watt Equivalent," which suggests that it throws off the same amount or intensity of light as a 50W halogen. It doesn't. My own guesstimate puts it just ahead of a 35W MR16. I still give it four stars because I figured there are no cheap LEDs to match 50W halogens; and in my house, 50W halogens are just too damn bright anyway.

These guys are pretty responsive. I ordered two "warm" LED lights and got one cool one by mistake. I contacted them and they responded within one day. I sent them a picture of both lights in my landscape fixtures and they immediately offered to send me a new bulb without my having to return the other one. I call that good customer service and will order from them in the future. The warm bulb looks great.

I purchased five units and all worked. But the light output is not even close to 50W. Knowing the promissed light output was not delivered, I am not sure if the energy input is only 4 watt as the company claims. I think it is not worth the money especially the cost went up to $10.00 per unit.

Something that separates this from all of the other MR-16 led bulbs I have tried in the past is that this one actually has some back light to it. I have wire hanging track lights that show off the form of the bulb. This always looked great with the halogen bulbs but every other LED bulb i tried looked rather silly as they kind of disappeared, I love that these have a little bit of backward shining light to highlight the shape of the fixture.
