This LED night light doesn't light up near as much as I expected it to. I thought it would at least emit as much light as a regular 4 watt night light bulb, but it doesn't. I have 2 in the same area about 6 feet apart and still have a hard time seeing to walk about. Even in my small bathroom it's hard to see by this light. I'm using them anyway because some light is better than no light, I hate to waste money, and they at least have the extra plug outlet available, but I'm actually very disappointed and wouldn't purchase again :(Best Deals for Globe Electric 99110 Automatic Shell LED Night Light with Outlet
I appreciate the amount of light this little LED puts out. Some LED lights are so dim they aren't very effective. This one puts out more light than a 4 watt nightlight bulb. The light has a white-blue tinge to it and makes it easy for me to navigate, with half-awake eyes, into the bathroom in the middle of the night. It also has a sensor so it is only on when it reaches a certain darkness to further reduce electricity consumption. The other added bonus is that the light does not take up valuable outlet space in the bathroom so I can use both electric outlets without having to remove the nightlight.You can use it shell side up or shell side down if your three pronged outlet has the ground hole on the top. The only problem is if you have a two plug outlet and use an electric fragrance dispenser like AirWick, they both don't fit on the outlet (the shell is too prominent to use the bonus outlet and the AirWick is too large to fit below).
I'm very pleased with this purchase and consider it a good value.
