Well, as far as I am concerned this works fine. Easy to install and works great. After several hours it still works great and the bulb has not burned out as others have claimed. Not sure why all the bad press about getting a new bulb. You can get them for a few dollars at M&D Mower in Oakwood Village, OH 44146. During the snow storms this year when you need to stay ahead of the snow the light is great at dark.

Terrible product quality here folks. I wished I would have looked at reviews from other stores and blogs before I wasted my time and money on this light kit. The halogen bulb lasted about 1 minute before burning out. (and No I never touched it). Apparently tons of other people have had the same problem. Worse yet, its been going on for years and Arnold does nothing about it to improve it. They don't even offer a replacement bulb. Even further, I can't find a replacement bulb anywhere on the planet for this rediculous thing. My advice...wear the "miner's light" on your head. Its cheaper, better made and everybit as effective.

I bought this kit and my lasted about 15 seconds. When we started the snow thrower, the light went on then went dead. You cannot buy a replacement bulb for it.

I have had my Arnold light for several years and it just burned out this winter. I located the number for Arnold parts and talked to a very helpful lady in the parts dept. They sell a replacement bulb for $5.51 plus shipping. She even read the directions over the phone about how to take the light apart. The number for Arnold Parts is 1-800-228-9683 and the part number for light bulb is 925-1629, 12 volt, 15 watt.

I recently purchased this light as a supplement to the built in light on my Troy Built 30 inch blower. Before installing it I purchased a H3 55 watt bulb at Wal Mart and replaced the 15 watt bulb that the light kit came with. I had to enlarge the hole slightly because the glass portion was slightly larger on the 55 watt bulb. I also put an in line switch on the yellow positive lead. green is nuetral. I found MTD very helpful in giving me information on this light and correct connections. Arnold is a supplier for MTD which makes Troy, Cub and Sears. Be careful not to touch the glass because oil from your fingers will cause the bulb to malfunction. The light works perfectly and I am very pleased at the extra bright light. The higher wattage does not affect the operation.
