On the plus side, I love the jewel-like colours of the new LED replacement bulbs, and certainly appreciate how they only use a fraction of the electricity of old-style bulbs. Add to this the fact that they are very durable (won't break if you drop them) and have an extremely long life-span, and what's not to love?

The problem is, these five-diode bulbs are CONSIDERABLY dimmer than the incandescent bulbs they are meant to replace. I'm using them in vintage interior candoliers, and there simply is no comparison----the light output is just a fraction of what is emitted by a standard c9 Christmas bulb.

I have to say, I really do like the look of these---in my vintage fixtures, they have more of a "candle-like flame" appearance than traditional bulbs. But I am definitely disappointed that they are so much dimmer than the older bulbs.

We have lights on our cabin all year round,the old ones were faded and old,these are bright have a crystal cut and the LEDs should last for years and keep me off the roof!!

I replaced all my bulbs in old strings with these bulbs. They are much cooler and don't use nearly the energy of regular lights. The 5 diodes make them much brighter than the cheap walmart 1 diode sets I prviously tried.
