I bought these as replacements for a Jenn-Air range hood. To remove, just press i the bulb and turn counterclockwise, and it should pop right out. My Jenn Air instruction book did not describe how to do this. These bulbs are cheaper at Amazon than anywhere else. I bought 4.

We have a stove hood this light goes into and it works. It was a little bit of a tight fit than the original bulb and has a slightly different color temperature. It's still an all around bulb.

I won't be buying these bulbs again. They were not as bright as the 50w bulbs they replaced and one of the two bulbs I bought only lasted a week. I use GU10 bulbs in my range hood (Vibration is minimal as fan motor is under the house).

I picked up replacement bulbs at a local grocery store (made by Feit Electric) for the same price as these. They are brighter with a manufacturer claim of using only 40w while producing the same light as a 50w bulb.
